In an interview with Bernie the Boxer, Crawford revealed that he received a lucrative offer to have two fights against former UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor but decided to turn it down.

Apparently, Crawford and McGregor would have one fight in the boxing ring and one under MMA rules.

“They offered me the fight,” Crawford said. “Me and Conor got on the phone and started politicking to try and figure something out. Man, I’m not getting in Octagon with you so you can be kicking and elbowing me!”

While taking part in a recent livestream, McGregor confirmed the offer and said that he would be down for it. He also shared that the bouts would earn the two fighters “hundreds of millions.”

“It’s going to be hundreds of millions on the line. What’s up? He said, ‘I don’t want to take a kick.’ You got to respect that,” McGregor, who has a boxing fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr. on his resume, shared.

Crawford won all of his 41 fights as a professional boxer, with 31 of those wins coming via knockout. He held championships in four different weight classes and was undisputed champion in light welterweight and welterweight at one point. The latter made him only the third boxer in the world to hold undisputed championships in two different classes.
