The British Premier League club Manchester United managed to secure another player for their team and this is going to be their third signing during the summer transfer window so far. With the start of the season just a week away, the club is preparing to hit the ground running this year.

French sports media are reporting that British club is close to signing the 16-year-old midfielder Hannibal Mejbri from Monaco. The negotiation process was surrounded by controversies because the family of the player had a confrontation with his current club, Monaco, who were not willing to let Mejbri leave as he had signed a contract lasting until 2021.

But the struggle is reportedly over and the British club will be signing Mejbri for a fee of $10.9 million. Besides the problems with Monaco, Manchester United had to fight a fierce competition because other big European clubs like Bayern Munich and Liverpool were also trying to sign the wunderkind. It’s expected that Mejbri will arrive in Manchester in the next few days to undertake the club’s medical after which he can officially sign the contract with his new club.
