]]> The final day of the transfer period in Europe has almost come and clubs around Europe are looking for last-minute signings to fill out their rosters. One of those teams is AC Milan as they landed Croatian international Ante Rebic from Eintracht Frankfurt in exchange of Andre Silva, who will replace Rebic in the German team. The 25-year-old forward has arrived on a 2-year loan move with a buy-out option of $40 million in 2021. 

Within this loan deal, AC Milan has replaced their disappointing signing, Andre Silva, who spent the last season on loan in Sevilla. Silva never played like he was expected to in Milan after his expensive transfer from FC Porto two years ago. Milan’s city rivals Inter were also chasing Ante’s signature, but the negotiations failed as Inter did not find a buyer for Marco Politano.  

Ante started his career in RNK Split back in 2013, before he signed for Fiorentina the same year. He was sent to RB Leipzig, Hellas Verona and Frankfurt on loan deals, only to be signed by Frankfurt at the end of his second season in the club. 

Rebic is expected to debut for Milan after the international break, where he will represent Croatia once more.
