Previously he attempted 19 three-point shots since turning pro, and didn’t make a single one. But that all changed in 76ers’ preseason game against Guangzhou Long-Lions.

With the clock winding down in the second quarter, Simmons was left unguarded beyond the three-point line. He dribbled the ball a few times, got his feet set, and then hit a three to give Philly an 82-41 lead. This led to fanatical cheers from the home crowd, as well as an ecstatic reaction from his teammates.

Ben Simmons’ last made three-point shot before this was at college. He made one against Charleston on November 15th, 2015, while playing basketball with LSU. This also turned out to be the only three-pointer he made during his college career.
