Mexican striker Javier Chicharito Hernandez has been linked with a transfer to the Major League Soccer for some time now, and it looks like this move might not be a long shot after all. Speaking with LA Times, Chicharito admitted that he is “definitely” considering a move to MLS in the future.

“Yes, definitely,” Hernandez admitted when asked whether MLS is an option for him. “Look, I am always thinking about my future. I want to be as open as I can to any opportunity.

Hernandez also thinks that MLS is growing in reputation and that the move to the U.S. provides an opportunity for him. “MLS is a league that is improving. It is an opportunity. Every league is an opportunity,” the 31-year-old added.

Reportedly, Chicharito Hernandez was a target for several MLS teams in the past, but the player didn’t want to move away from Europe. His mind might change in the future as his career nears to an end, but any team that wants to bring him would reportedly have to offer him a lucrative contract.

Hernandez played for a number of reputable European clubs, including Manchester United and Real Madrid. In September, he decided to join La Liga side Sevilla on a three-year deal. In 10 games he played for his new club this season, Chicharito scored three goals.

Chicharito Set To Leave West Ham For MLS

The Mexican international Javier Hernandez-Chicharito is about to leave the Premier League for MLS. According to reports in England, three unknown clubs from the USA are looking for his signature before the MLS playoff begins. As West Ham signed 2 strikers this season (Sebastien Haller and Albian Ajeti) Hernandez will not be the first attacking option for the Hammers from London.

Javier arrived in West Ham on July 24^th, 2017 on a three-year contract from Bayer Leverkusen for a fee of around $16 million. In his time in West Ham, Chicharito played 55 games and scored 16 goals, leaving the fans disappointed after losing his previous form from Leverkusen, Real Madrid, and Manchester United.

Chicharito was signed by Manchester United in 2010 from Guadalajara, after scoring 26 goals in 63 matches. At Old Trafford, Javier played 103 matches in all competitions and scored 37 goals, winning back-to-back Premier League titles (2010-2011 and 2011-2012) and the FA Community Shield.

After 4 years in Manchester, Hernandez was sent to Real Madrid on a season-long loan with a buy-out option which Real Madrid did not use after the loan contract ended, sending him back to Manchester. He later played for Leverkusen before returning to England once again.
