]]>Reportedly, Tottenham isn’t insisting on a permanent move and would be willing to let Alli leave on a season-long loan. This option would work for PSG, as they would have time to properly assess the 24-year-old player before making a significant financial commitment.
Despite being considered one of the world’s best young players just a couple of seasons ago, Dele Alli struggled to make an impact for Tottenham recently and has lost his place in the team’s starting lineup. And while manager Jose Mourinho expressed his support for the player in the past, it appears that he isn’t convinced Alli can benefit his team.
“I am not responsible for the market, I don’t know how to answer that question,” said Mourinho when asked about Alli’s departure. “What I want is a balanced squad. That’s what I want. He doesn’t need to be sacrificed, but a squad is a puzzle.”
Tottenham were looking to offload Alli earlier this summer, trying to include him in the deal that brought Gareth Bale from Real Madrid. However, Real rejected the proposal, not being interested in Alli.
Alli joined Tottenham in 2015 from MK Dons. He played 223 games for the Spurs so far and managed to score 62 goals. Additionally, he has 37 appearances and three goals with the England national team.

]]>After the match, the Italian manager was not happy, and that climaxed during the press conference when he stated that his team is not that lethal as they used to be during the previous season.
“I think in this season in many games we had many chances but we didn’t score. Last season we were more clinical. In this game, I saw Tottenham do this. They scored chances they had and they won the game. It’s a pity,” Conte said at the press, and Metro quotes.
With this loss, Chelsea’s chances of reaching the top four places in the Premiership are theoretical, which means that last year’s champions are going to miss Champions League next season. The Italian’s future is very unclear, and it wouldn’t be much of a surprise if Roman Abramovich fires him. Rumors about this started several weeks ago when the team started struggling with results.
