]]>According to Rapoport, Ebron will undergo surgeries on both of his ankles in the coming days and won’t play again in the 2019 NFL season. This comes after the 26-year-old collected four receptions for 44 yards in Colts’ loss to Houston Texans on Thursday.
Ebron first experienced ankle issues in Week 9 but hasn’t missed a single game although he was listed questionable a few times after that. He will end the season having contributed with 31 catches for 375 yards and three touchdowns. This is a drop from his first season with Indianapolis in 2018, in which he had 66 receptions for 750 yards and 13 TDs.
Eric Ebron represents another tough blow to struggling Colts’ offense, which will also be without running back Marlon Mack for several more weeks. The positive news is that wide receiver T. Y. Hilton recovered from a calf injury and is back on the field.
