The current Formula 1 campaign is still underway, but the racing competition already released its schedule for the 2024 season.

Red Bull’s Max Verstappen has won his second career F1 title after emerging at the top of the troubled Japanese Grand Prix on Sunday morning. Verstappen managed to claim the championship despite the fact that there are four GPs left in the 2022 Formula One season.

The Japanese GP itself was highly controversial as the race was stopped after only two laps due to bad weather. After a lengthy delay, the drivers returned to Suzuka for a restart but managed to only complete 29 laps before the official three-hour race window wrapped up.

Verstappen led the whole race and emerged as a winner, but he didn’t realize he was also a champion crossing the checkered flag. The Dutch driver thought he would receive only half of the allocated points due to the race not being completed in full. However, since the race actually concluded on the track, the drivers were entitled to full points despite the short duration.

“Yeah, it’s really a crazy feeling of course because I didn’t expect when I crossed the line,” Verstappen said. “You could see it slowly happening. It’s incredible that we did win it here.”

With 25 points from the Japanese GP, Verstappen collected 366 points in total and is out of reach for the rest of the field. His Red Bull teammate Sergio Perez, who finished second at Suzuka, is at No. 2 with 253 points, while Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc sits in third place with 252 points.

McLaren’s Daniel Ricciardo is aware that he’ll have a hard time landing a spot on the grid for the 2023 F1 season. This is why the 33-year-old Australian is now open to being a reserve driver, but under the condition that it’s a top team.

Ricciardo previously had a contract with McLaren through 2023, but the team decided to release him a year earlier in order to free up a car for Formula 2 champ Oscar Piastri. This left Ricciardo low on options since only Alpine, Haas, and Williams haven’t locked their lineups.

Ricciardo recently told the reporters that his management is talking with a number of teams and that he is weighing his options. One of them is to remain in F1 but as a backup.

“I know that if I choose to take a reserve role or not race next year, nothing’s guaranteed,” he said. “So that comes at a risk, but that’s what we are weighing up. At this stage, especially with a top team, there are no guarantees.”

Daniel Ricciardo started his Formula 1 journey in 2011 with HRT Formula 1 Team. He had his biggest success while a member of Red Bull, finishing third on the Drivers Standings in 2014 and 2016. Ricciardo has 19 points in 17 races this season and is yet to make the podium.

Lewis Hamilton has won the Russian Grand Prix more times than anyone else, and it isn’t even close. So it was only fitting that this was the place where he would claim his 100th career win and become the winningest driver in the history of F1. Although this didn’t come easy or without drama.

Hamilton started Sunday’s Russian GP from grid number four but soon found himself at the sixth position following a bad start. With a timely pit stop and excellent driving, the Mercedes driver managed to get to second place but still had McLaren’s Lando Norris ahead of him. Then, four laps before the end of the race, the rain started.

Hamilton immediately entered the pit stop and changed his tires to intermediate, while Norris decided to take a risk and stay on dry tires. But this would soon prove to be a costly mistake, as Norris couldn’t keep his car in check on the wet tarmac and ended up sliding off the track, which Hamilton used in his favor and took the lead on lap 51.

Hamilton finished first with more than 53 seconds ahead of the second-placed Max Verstappen from Red Bull. Norris had to be content with the number seven finish.

“It’s taken a long time to obviously get to 100, and I wasn’t even sure whether or not it would come,” Hamilton said in the post-race interview. “Lando did such an amazing job. He had incredible pace.”

The win helped Lewis Hamilton jump over Verstappen and sit at the top of F1 Driver Standings for the 2021 season with 246.5 points. Verstappen, who finished second after starting from the back of the grid, has 244.5 points.

Having secured the pole position for the first time in his career, Max Verstappen seemed like a certain victor of the Hungarian Grand Prix, but F1 racing once more proved that anything can happen on the race tracks. Hungaroring hosted one of the most nerve wrenching races so far this year with many drivers showing unbelievable skill and determination to claim the trophy of the race.

Starting first, 21-year-old Verstappen dominated during most of the race and managed to hold the first place despite aggressive attempts by Lewis Hamilton to take the leading spot. The brilliant Mercedes driver won the race with a time of 1:35:03.796 and Verstappen finished second with +17.796s behind the champion.

The third and fourth places were secured by the two Ferrari Drivers with Sebastian Vettel in third and Charles Leclerc in fourth. Finally, it’s worth mentioning that Carlos Sainz Jr. showed great driving skills and had an amazing performance at the race, ending in fifth place.

The Hockenheimring in Baden-Wurttemberg hosted the thrilling Formula 1 German Grand Prix this weekend. Fans had the chance to watch the most nerve-wrenching race so far this year, providing great uncertainty until the very end. The unexpected rain made the race even more exciting, leading to unexpected outcomes.

Let’s start by saying that this definitely wasn’t Team Mercedes’s weekend even though they were celebrating 125 years in motorsports and also the team’s 200th race in the Formula 1. Everyone expected great results from them since they qualified really well, having Lewis Hamilton in the pole position. But in the race, Hamilton finished in 9th place and Valtteri Bottas crashed which made this race the worst Mercedes had so far this year.

Once again, the 21-year-old Max Verstappen gave everyone a small glimpse of his evidently great future, showing near-flawless skill and talent on the racetracks. The Dutch Red Bull pilot brought them the first place, finishing with a time of 1:44:31.275 and earning 26 points. Ferrari’s driver Sebastian Vettel finished second with + 7.333s and Toro Rosso’s Daniil Kvyat finished third giving this race a pretty unique finish score.

Last weekend, Montreal hosted a pretty intense and controversial Formula 1 race that led to a great debate about the rules of the sport and caused strong reactions from the F1 drivers.

Mercedes’ brilliant Lewis Hamilton won the Canadian Grand Prix race, finishing 1.342 seconds faster than Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel.

What first seemed like a clear victory for Vettel, quickly changed into a frustrating second place after he got a five-second penalty for unsafe re-entry during the race, thus making British driver Hamilton a winner of the Canadian GP.

Driving under tremendous pressure from the world champion, the Ferrari driver made a mistake and paid for it. If he didn’t get blocked, he would likely have passed Vettel, who was leading until things got a new direction in the 48th lap.

Even though Hamilton technically finished second, he got to claim the 7th straight victory for Mercedes during this season. Vettel said that that overregulating gives no edge to the sport and that this was not the sport he fell in love with.

The final results at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal, Quebec were Hamilton in the first place, Vettel in the second and Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc in the third.
