While several suspensions were upheld, including that of Agnelli and Tottenham director Fabio Paratici, six former board members had their appeals accepted, including former player Pavel Nedved.

In November, the entire Juventus board resigned from their roles following an investigation by Turin public prosecutors into alleged false bookkeeping. The preliminary hearing in a Turin court that was scheduled last month was postponed until May 10 for administrative reasons.

“We consider this to be a blatant injustice also for millions of fans, which we trust will soon be remedied in the next court,” lawyers representing the club said in response to the court ruling. In addition to denying any wrongdoing, Juventus insists that its accounting continues to comply with industry standards.

In addition, eight other Italian clubs also under investigation were acquitted, including Empoli and Sampdoria.
