]]>Reportedly, Osemele will ink a one-year, $2 million deal with Kansas City. The 31-year-old player was a free agent since October when New York Jets released him for unauthorized shoulder surgery.
Osemele is now considered a favorite to fill the void on the right guard, despite spending the majority of his NFL career on the left side. He will face competition for the job from Andrew Wylie Wylie, Mike Remmers, and Nick Allegretti unless head coach Andy Reid decides to do some O-line shuffling.
Kelechi Osemele started his NFL career with Baltimore Ravens in 2012 and was part of the Super Bowl XLVII-winning squad. After four years in Baltimore, Osemele left in 2016 to sign a five-year, $60 million contract with Raiders, becoming one of the highest-paid guards in the league.
Osemele earned consecutive Pro Bowls and had a First-team All-Pro selection in three years with Raiders before being traded to Jets ahead of the 2019 season.
