]]>Bryant is currently serving an indefinite suspension since December 2018 and according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the 28-year-old player still hasn’t replied for reinstatement. Rapoport adds that the player “hopes to play“ this year, although such a scenario seems unlikely.
Bryant last played with Raiders in 2018 season, during which he caught 19 passes for 266 yards in eight games.
Martavis Bryant struggled to stay away from troubles since he entered the league in 2014 as Pittsburgh Steelers’ fourth-round pick. After having 76 receptions for 1,314 yards and 14 touchdowns in his first two years in the league, Bryant miss the entire 2016 for violating the league’s substance-abuse policy.
Bryant bounced back with 50 receptions for 603 yards and three TDs in 2017, before being traded to Raiders for a third-round pick in the offseason. After an injury-shortened season in 2018, he was indefinitely suspended by NFL and unsuccessfully tried to get reinstated ahead of the start of the 2019 campaign.

In spite of reports linking the 26-year-old to a third NFL ban for violating a drug policy, the Raiders are allegedly planning to sign Bryant for one more year. The Oakland-based team traded the wide receiver this offseason from the Steelers for a third-round pick. They seemed to have given up at the start of this month when they released him.
Now, not only has “the White Tiger” rejoined the team’s training ground but he is also expected play this Sunday when Oakland welcomes the Broncos.
One reason the Raiders may have rescinded their decision to release Bryant could be their lack of depth at the receiving end. On Monday, the team’s duo of Jordy Nelson and Amari Cooper managed only four catches in 32 yards in the team’s loss to the Rams.
