]]>According to sources, Ray and Floyd, who are both former first-round picks, inked one-year deals with Baltimore.
After losing C. J. Mosley, Za’Darius Smith and Terrell Suggs in March to free agency, Baltimore Ravens found themselves in need of reliable pass rushers. While Shane Ray fits the profile, it remains to be seen whether he can be the right solution.
Ray showed great inconsistency during his first four years in the league, while also struggling with injuries, but also had flashes of great talent so he might finally turn around his career in Baltimore. His NFL career stats include 94 tackles, 14.0 sacks, and one defensive touchdown.
Michael Floyd, on the other hand, joins as a veteran presence on Ravens’ young wide receivers core. Only three of Baltimore’s WRs caught a pass in NFL before so Floyd might find an opportunity to remind everyone why he was the 13th overall pick in 2012. He played for five NFL teams in last five year, including Arizona Cardinals and Washington Redskins, and has 266 career receptions for 3,959 yards and 25 touchdowns.
