Los Angeles Galaxy has managed to lure some pretty big European names to MLS in the past, so you can’t blame team’s manager Guillermo Barros Schelotto for having big appetites when it comes to his preferred transfer targets.

Schelotto recently discussed the players he would like to bring to his team and listed Juventus’ star forward Gonzalo Higuain as No.1 choice.

“It would be a dream, we are talking about one of the best centre-forwards in the world,” Schelotto told Italian outlet Tuttosport.

While Schelotto acknowledges that signing Higuain would be difficult at the moment, he isn’t giving up on hopes things will change in the future.

“I saw an interview with Gonzalo where he said he wanted to stay at Juventus and in Europe. Maybe it’s too early for Higuain, but never say never in football,” he added.

Schelotto also mentioned two other Juventus stars, midfielders Sami Khedira and Blaise Matuidi, as players who he would like to see playing for him.

“Top players like Khedira and Matuidi could be interesting for us, even if it’s impossible to make predictions, ” Schelotto hinted at Galaxy’s future plans.

Some of the biggest names in MLS have played for Galaxy in the past, including David Beckham, Robbie Keane, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. This trend continued with adding Mexican star Javier Chicharito Hernandez in the offseason, so Schelotto’s dreams might not be so farfetched after all.
