French media reports that the Premier League club, Manchester United, showed great interest in Lyon’s young player Florent Da Silva. Apparently, the club is on the brink of a deal as the negotiations between the two sides were at a very advanced stage.

Da Silva is currently only 16-years-old but he is considered one of the biggest rising stars in European soccer. The French club Lyon is famous for its great academy as they have created many stellar successes which is why the Red Devils showed such interest in the young midfielder. He is currently playing with Lyon’s Under 19 youth team and during last season he made several appearances against Spanish Barcelona and Dutch Ajax.

The youngster has one more year on his youth contract with his current club, but United are interested in getting him out of it as soon as possible. The young player has yet to decide which side he joins. Manchester is insisting evidently, but his current club president also hopes that he might choose to stay.

Florent Da Silva comes after Solskjaer’s acquirement of James and Wan-Bissaka who are also very young announcing Manchester’s big plans for the future.
