This summer’s transfer window was really nerve-wrenching and tense, and it seems that the last days are going to be even more unpredictable. With days before the deadline, Manchester United are rushing to make the final signings and get ready for this year’s promising European football season.

Media reports that the Red Devils are very close to signing their last reinforcement – the Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen from the Premier League club Tottenham Hotspurs. The 27-year-old player has only one year left on his contract with his current team and it was rumored for quite some time that he was keen on leaving his current club.

Eriksen has been one of the best signings for the club as he was acquired for a fee of just $13.3 million back in 2013 from the Dutch club Ajax. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been interested in the player for a few months considering him the perfect reinforcement for the club.

British media are reporting that the Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy had asked an almost unbelievable fee of $158 million for Eriksen, but Manchester are confident that they will be able to land him for a lowered price of around $60.8 million.
