Pensack added that his client will undergo surgery shortly and that the timeline for his return will be established after the procedure.
“Injuries are tough, but Charles is an extremely hard worker and will be back stronger than ever,” – Pensack told ESPN. “He had a series of outstanding workouts lately and has helped himself. Charles will continue that momentum when he returns to action. As of now, we have interest in the second round as Charles is OK signing a two-way contract like Edmond Sumner did with the Indiana Pacers in 2017.”
After playing his freshman year with Kentucky, during which he didn’t manage to get significant minutes, Charles Matthews decided to transfer to Michigan in 2016. Matthews ended up playing two years with the Wolverines where he averaged 12.6 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game.

]]>This will be a reunion for the 29-year-old and the Pats, as he was drafted by the organization in the second round of 2013 NFL Draft. Collins’ first stint with New England was more than a successful one, as he spent four years with the franchise and won a Super Bowl while also earning one Pro Bowl appearance along the way.
Jamie Collins had a solid season with the Browns in 2018, leading the team with 104 tackles and also contributing with 4.0 sacks and one interception. Still, Cleveland decided to move on from Collins since he was one of the highest paid linebackers in the league but never quite managed to justify the money invested in him. He was set to earn $10 million this season, and $12 million in 2020.
In New England, Collins will face a tough competition to earn a starting job considering the team’s loaded LB core. Dont’a Hightower and Kyle Van Noy are considered to be favorites for the starting position, while Ja’Whaun Bentley, Elandon Roberts returns, and Christian Sam will all try to throw their name into the mix as well.
