]]>According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Grizzlies agreed to trade Iguodala to Miami Heat, who will send Justise Winslow in the opposite direction as part of the trade. Heat is also working to include Oklahoma City Thunder in the trade in an attempt to land Danilo Gallinari.
Meanwhile, Heat agreed to a contract extension with Iguodala, which will keep him with the franchise through the 2021/22 NBA season. The deal, worth $30 million, contains a team option for the last year.
While the trade hasn’t been made official just yet, the Heat players are already ready to welcome Iguodala with arms wide open.
“[He brings] winning. He knows how to do that on both sides of the ball. He’s super smart. There’s nothing he cannot do,” – said Miami’s All-Star Jimmy Butler. “We got a lot of pieces, man. He’s definitely going to add to that.”
Andre Iguodala joined the Grizzlies in the offseason as part of the Golden State Warriors attempts to offload salary. After that, Iguodala, who previously won three NBA championships with Warriors, agreed with Memphis that he will stay away from the team until they find the best path to move forward.
Iguodala finished the past regular season with 5.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 3.2 assists, but his numbers increased to 9.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 4.0 assists in the playoffs.

]]>ESPN’s Dave McMenamin reports that Lakers’ are currently happy with the players they have on the roster, but hope they could get Igoudala as an “X-factor” who would help them make a run for an NBA title.
“They feel like he could be an X-factor type of guy to add with the group they already have.” – says McMenamin.
Andre Igoudala going to the Lakers wouldn’t be a surprise, as the player reportedly wants to play for a contender next season. Also, the team’s general manager Rob Pelinka was Igoudala’s agent at one point, so he could play a crucial role in recruiting the 35-year-old.
The only thing that might get in the way of Lakers’ plans is the fact that Igoudala is still under contract with Memphis Grizzlies. Although the player is pushing for some kind of a buyout agreement, Grizzlies would prefer to trade him and get some assets in return.
Igoudala averaged 5.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game with the Golden State Warriors last season. He was traded to the Grizzlies in June as part of the Warriors’ efforts to clear cap space in order to sign D’Angelo Russell.
