The Buffalo Bills have played in the Super Bowl four times in franchise history but are yet to win one. This is why it isn’t surprising to hear the current Bills quarterback Josh Allen having a Super Bowl win as his main priority for the 2023 NFL season.

Speaking with reporters on Tuesday, Allen said that he is entering the upcoming season as focused on football as he has ever been. He is looking to make the necessary adjustments and help the team take a step forward in order to win it all.

“I so badly want to bring a Super Bowl here to Buffalo, “Allen told reporters. “I just don’t want anything to get in the way of allowing me to be the best quarterback that I can be for this team.”

The Buffalo Bills went to Super Bowl four consecutive times between 1991 and 1994, with Hall of Famer Jim Kelly as their quarterback. However, they fell short each time and had to wait until 2020 to return to AFC Championship.

There is a sense that the Bills’ championship window is open again thanks to Allen, who has been one of the league’s best players. He made the Pro Bowl in two of the last three seasons and was a perennial MVP candidate during that time. But Buffalo came short in the playoffs in each of those campaigns, and Allen is determined to change that.

“You know, statistically, you look at it, we were top three, four [in] offense in the league last year, and it wasn’t good enough,” Allen added. “So, just losing the playoffs isn’t fun, you know?”

League sources have reported that the Buffalo Bills are looking to bring defensive end Shaq Lawson back to the team on a one-year deal. Lawson is yet to sign a contract with the team.

By agreeing to a deal, Lawson would be returning to the team that drafted him as the 19th overall pick in the 2016 draft out of Clemson. The 29-year-old played for the Bills for four seasons before spending 2020 with the Miami Dolphins and 2021 with the New York Jets.

Last season, Lawson returned to the Bills on a one-year veteran minimum deal, playing in 15 games for the Bills and starting six. Lawson’s playing time increased on Thanksgiving when Von Miller suffered a season-ending right knee injury.

The final few weeks of the season were when Lawson got into fine form, with the defensive end getting two of his 3.5 sacks in the last four games. He also finished the season with nine quarterback hits; four more than his season with the Jets.

26-year-old running back Damien Harris has signed a one-year deal with the Buffalo Bills. The arrival of Harris comes as the Bills’ previous lead rusher Devin Singletary signed a one-year deal with the Houston Texans worth $3.75 million.

Singletary’s departure is a major loss for the Bills, considering that he led the team in rushing since he was first selected by the team in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft. Harris was drafted by the New England Patriots just 14 places later.

Harris was the number one running back for the Patriots until he was passed over for Rhamondre Stevenson in 2022. He was also limited to just six games due to a thigh injury.

Prior to joining the Bills, Harris revealed his willingness to remain with the Patriots. “If they want to have me, I’d love to be back,” he explained. “But at the end of the day, I know this is a business. The organization is going to do what they feel is best for them and I have to do what I feel is best for me.”

The Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin has been visiting his team’s training facility on an “almost daily” basis as he continues his recovery after suffering a cardiac arrest two weeks ago.

Coach Sean McDermott revealed on Wednesday that Hamlin has been paying frequent visits to the facility where he has been fraternizing with his teammates and getting into a routine. McDermott confirmed that Hamlin was at the Bills’ facility on both Tuesday and Wednesday.

According to the Bills coach, Hamlin’s involvement in the team remains minimal at this stage. “It’s limited, just overall but he comes in and really just started really today or yesterday and just trying to get back to a little bit of a routine and just get himself acclimated again and taking it one step, one baby step at a time here,” McDermott explained.

Hamlin visited his teammates on Saturday during their walkthrough before their game against the Miami Dolphins. While he did not attend the Bills’ victory on Sunday, he watched the game remotely.

Following the 31-34 victory over the Dolphins, the Bills are set to face the Cincinnati Bengals in the Divisional Round of the Playoffs. This is a repeat of the regular fixture in which Hamlin collapsed, thus leading to its suspension.

Hamlin remains in critical condition, however, signs of improvement including improved oxygen levels were observed starting on Tuesday and continuing into the following day. According to the Bills’ statement, he is expected to remain in intensive care until further notice as his medical team continues to monitor and treat him.

The Bills team returned to practice for the first time on Wednesday following Hamlin’s collapse and hospitalization during Monday night’s game. They started with a walk-through and team meetings.

Jordon Rooney, a friend and business partner of Hamlin, claimed that the 24-year-old safety was still sedated early morning while confirming the positive readings that doctors had seen from the Bills player. Hamlin’s uncle, Dorrian Glenn elaborated further, stating that Hamlin’s oxygen dependency was lowered from 100% to 50%.

The NFL revealed that the abandoned game between the Bills and the Bengals would not be rescheduled for this week. The league is yet to decide on a later date.

The Buffalo Bills Pass-rusher Von Miller has been placed on injured reserve, the team announced hours before their game against the New England Patriots on Thursday night. This comes as the player continues to battle with a knee injury.

Miller was diagnosed with lateral meniscus damage to his right knee after getting injured during Buffalo’s win over the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving. As a result, he will be ruled out of action for at least four games. By placing him on injured reserve just hours before Thursday night’s game, the 24-10 victory over the Patriots counts as one of the four games.

General manager Brandon Beane confirmed that Miller should be able to return from injury before the end of the season. “He’s been doing treatment and trying to rehab it,” Beane stated. “We don’t want to rush him back, and he’s a competitor. That’s why we love him. That’s why he’s so great. The competitor in him — if he could wheel it out there tonight, he would do it. We just think in talking to the medical people that the best decision right now is to give this time, and that gives him the best opportunity to help us down the stretch.”

Buffalo Bills pass-rusher Von Miller is set to undergo an MRI exam on Friday after he incurred a knee injury during the Bills’ 28-25 win over the Detroit Lions on Thursday. Although sources close to the matter believe that Miller may have avoided serious injury, further tests are required in order to confirm the extent of the damage.

“I only connected with [head athletic trainer] Nate [Breske] at halftime, so I don’t have anything to give you on that,” coach Sean McDermott stated, confirming that he remains unsure as to Miller’s injury status.

With less than three minutes left in the first half of the Lions’ game, Miller was rolled up on a first-and-10 play at the Bills’ 16-yard line. He subsequently spent several minutes kneeling on the ground while consulting with the Bills’ trainers. After spending a couple of minutes in the fieldside medical tent, Miller was carted off to the locker room.

Miller’s absence places added pressure on the Bills’ already injury-stricken defense, with both Greg Rousseau and A.J. Epenesa, the team’s top pass rushers, out through ankle injuries.

The games between the Buffalo Bills and the Kansas City Chiefs just can’t disappoint. The two AFC contenders met in a Week 6 contest on Sunday and produced another action-packed showdown that saw the Bills end up with a 24-20 win.

Both teams started the game playing sluggish football. The Bills ended their first drive with a fumble inside Kansas City’s 20 yards while the Chiefs returned the favor with Patrick Mahomes’ interception on 3rd and goal.

The game came to life in the second quarter, with each team scoring a touchdown and a field goal apiece to head to the locker rooms tied 10-10. The Chiefs’ last drive was particularly impressive, as they only had 16 seconds to work with but still managed to get their kicker Harrison Butker in a position to try a 62-yard field goal. And despite windy conditions, Butker drilled the ball straight through the middle to set both his personal record and franchise record.

However, Butker then missed a 51-yard field goal at the start of the third quarter to give the Bills a short field. Buffalo used the opportunity with Josh Allen connecting with Stefon Diggs for a 17-yard TD pass.

The Chiefs were quick to respond with a touchdown of their own and followed it up with a go-ahead FG to get the 17-20 lead.

With 5:31 left in regulation, the Bills started at their own 24-yard line and marched down the field to score what turned out to be a game-winning touchdown.

Kansas City was left with 51 seconds to work with, but their last drive didn’t go anywhere as Mahomes threw his second interception of the game.

The Bills now improved to 5-1 and remain at the top of the AFC East. The Chiefs, who are leading the AFC West, dropped to 4-2.

Buffalo Bills starting cornerback Dane Jackson was sent for hospital evaluation for a possible neck injury following a collision with a teammate during his side’s 41-7 win over the Tennessee Titans. The team later announced that Jackson underwent a CT scan and an X-ray at Erie County Medical Center.

According to coach Sean McDermott, the severity of the cornerback’s injury remains uncertain as the player still awaits his results. “Still awaiting word and obviously praying for Dane and all of [the Bills’ injured players].You go from the real part of it here; you go from being a coach to just being a human when I’m out there watching him getting loaded into the ambulance. That’s a real moment.”

The game was halted for almost 10 minutes after Jackson’s collision, with the player managing to move his legs slightly while the rest of his body remained stationary as the Bills’ medical team poured onto the field to assist the injured star.

Jackson’s teammates surrounded him to shield him from onlookers as the medical team loaded him onto a stretcher and loaded him into an ambulance. McDermott revealed that he was able to speak with Jackson briefly before the player was transported to the hospital.

Veteran guard Brian Winters didn’t take long to find a new team after being released by New York Jets. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Winters swiftly agreed to a deal with Buffalo Bills.

Winters was Jets’ starting guard since 2015 and the franchise’s longest-tenured player on the roster. Despite this, the organization decided to cut him on Sunday, clearing his $7.3 million salary off their books.

Bills signing Brian Winters makes sense for both sides. Buffalo previously lost their starting right guard Jon Feliciano to a season-ending injury, and will now replace him with an experienced veteran. The team previously considered Cody Ford for the job, but can now keep the 2019’s second-round pick on right tackle position

Winters, on the other hand, gets a starting job on a competitive team that seems to be destined for playoffs. Despite entering the league in 2013, the 29-year-old player is still stranger to postseason football as Jets missed out on playoffs in the past nine years.

Winters, who was a third round pick out of Kent State, played 89 games in his pro career and has 79 starts. Although he is right guard by vocation, he is capable of playing left guard as well.
