]]>Sarri is well aware of Kante’s qualities, as the pair collaborated last season when the Italian manager was sitting on Chelsea’s bench. By pairing the Frenchman with Miralem Pjanic and Aaron Ramsey, Sarri believes he would have the best midfield in Europe.
It remains unclear whether Chelsea would be prepared to let Kante go as he is viewed as one of the club’s key components. Still, Juve reportedly figures a bid of $86 million might persuade Premier League powerhouse to part ways with the player.
N’Golo Kante hasn’t played much this season, struggling with an ankle injury that saw him being on an off the field in the past month. He played three games in Premier League, scoring one goal, while also making one appearance in Champions League.
Kante joined Chelsea in 2016, playing 146 games in all competition since and contributing with nine goals. He previously spent time with Boulogne, Caen, and Leicester City as well.

]]>The 60-year-old manager made the jump to the Premier League for the 2018-19 season and completed a successful campaign with the London Club, finishing third in the league and winning the UEFA Europa League competition.
At the end of the season, however, due to media pressure and criticism, combined with a desire to go back home, Sarri informed the club of his desire to return to his native country to coach.
On Sunday, that wish was officially granted.
The veteran coach has Serie A experience with Empoli and Napoli, but will now make the leap to the league’s eight-time defending champions and one of the favorites to lift the Champions League trophy next season.
At Juventus, Sarri will inherit one of the most talented rosters in the world of soccer, with a star-studded squad that includes Cristiano Ronaldo, Paulo Dybala, and Moises Kean. He takes the job with an understanding, however, that he will be under immense pressure to win at the Turin club.
Sarri will look to lead the Old Lady to a ninth consecutive league title in the 2019-20 season, and he’ll look to aim high and take home the Champions League with Juventus for the first time since 1996.

]]>Sarri was introduced as the Blues’ head coach last summer after making the move to the Premier League from his native Italy. The 60-year-old manager had served previously as the coach of Napoli in Serie A.
The Naples native has had a very interesting career as a manager. Sarri never played professional soccer and began a slow ascent through Italy’s regional and minor leagues until reaching Serie B in 2005.
He then led Empoli to a Serie A promotion in the 2013-14 season and then moved to Napoli.
Sarri left Italy to coach for the first time last season, replacing the sacked Antonio Conte at Chelsea. Despite criticism in the media and a dust-up with goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga in February, he had a successful season with the Blues.
He led the team to a 3rd place finish in the Premier League, a Europa League title, and qualification for next year’s Champions League.
Now, Sarri is reportedly looking to move back to his home country. While no official confirmation has been given, reports have stated that he could be Massimiliano Allegri’s replacement at Juventus.
This will be a story to keep an eye on as the summer develops.

After sacking Conte, Chelsea has cleared the way to appoint Maurizio Sarri, who will sign a two-year deal. The official confirmation should come in the following days. Sarri has been linked with Chelsea job since May when he was replaced as Napoli coach by Carlo Ancelotti.
Antonio Conte joined Chelsea in April 2016, after he stepped down as a coach of Italy national team. In his first season in London, Conte led the team to Premier League title while setting the league’s record for most wins in a single season with 30. The following season, however, Chelsea didn’t play on a high level and finished fifth, which meant that they have missed out on the Champions League. Conte did manage to secure one trophy with a 1-0 win over Manchester United in the 2018 FA Cup Final.
Prior to Chelsea, Antonio Conte also coached various Italian teams in both Seria B and Seria A including Juventus, with whom he won three straight Seria A titles.
