]]>At 36 years of age, Kluber proved that he remains a pitcher at the top of his game by posting the second-best strikeout-to-walk ratio in the American League last season. During this time, he recorded 139 strikeouts and issued 21 free passes in 164 innings as a Tampa Bay Rays player.
While injuries limited Kluber’s playing time to 116⅔ innings from 2019 to ’21, he continued to pitch a threatening fastball that made up more than a quarter of his total pitches.
2014 to 2018 proved to be the highlight of Kluber’s career, with the two-time Cy Young Award-winner playing at Cleveland. He then moved to the Texas Rangers before being traded to the New York Yankees in 2021.
Finally, he moved from the Yankees to the Tampa Bay Rays, where he signed a one-year, $8 million deal.

]]>Kluber, who has two Cy Young Awards on his resume, spent the last season with Texas Rangers but managed to play only one inning in 2020 before being sidelined with a shoulder injury.
According to MLB Network’s Jon Morosi, Kluber is making good progress in recovering from the injury and is expected to return to pitching action soon.
Bringing in Corey Kluber would probably be a high-risk, high-reward move for the Boston Red Sox. Kluber only pitched 65 innings in the past two years due to injuries, and there is no guarantee that he will return to his usual form. However, if he manages to remain healthy, the 34-year-old Kluber could play a big part in the team’s rotation.
Kluber, who made his MLB debut with Cleveland Indians in 2011, was once regarded as one of the most dominant pitchers in the American League. He has three consecutive All-Star nods between 2016 and 2018 while leading the AL in wins twice. His career stats include a 98–58 record, 3.16 ERA, and 1,462 strikeouts. If he joins Boston, look for him to have a big comeback season.

]]>Kluber, a three-time All-Star and two-time AL Cy Young Award winner during his tenure with the Cleveland Indians, showed no signs of injury or shoulder problems during pre-game warmups, and only notified manager Chris Woodward after the first inning of the problem.
The Alabama native missed the majority of last season due to a fractured right arm which he sustained after being hit with a line drive on the mound. While he was set to return in the second half of the season, an oblique strain suffered during a rehab start meant that his 2019 season ended after just seven starts.
Acquired by Texas over the offseason in exchange for Delino DeShields and Emmanuel Clase, Kluber is in the final year of a six-year contract which he signed in 2015 and was expected to be the center piece of the Rangers’ rotation
However, the righty’s shoulder strain has thrown at least a temporary hitch into those plans. At this point, there is no established timetable for Kluber’s return.
