Islam Slimani left Leicester after his loan contract ended with Fenerbahce, where he played only 15 games and scored just 1 goal. He began his career in the Algerian Championship for JSM Chegara, scoring 19 goals in 38 matches before moving to CR Belouizdad. After scoring 32 goals, Slimani joined Sporting CP on an undisclosed fee. 

Slimani became the key player in Sporting in his 2^nd season by scoring 12 goals in 33 games and also helping the team to win the Portuguese Cup. After 3 years and 48 goals scored on 82 matches, Slimani was sold to Leicester City where he disappointed the fans by scoring only 4 goals in 35 matches, before being sent on loan to Newcastle and later to Fenerbahce. 

Slimani is expected to debut this week against Nimes.

The Ligue 1 club have reached an agreement with striker Wissam Ben Yedder who is currently playing in the La Liga club Sevilla and the player has signed a transfer contract. Monaco was able to sign the 29-year-old player after they paid his release clause which cost them $44.7 million and he will be joining the club on a five-year-long contract that will last until 2024.  

Ben Yedder said that he chose Monaco because he believed in that project and he was determined to do everything that is possible to go after their common goals. He also added that as always, he came with the intention to prove his qualities and his desire to reach a new level.  

During this summer’s transfer season there was interest shown for the player by several European clubs, including Manchester United.  

Oleg Petrov, the vice president of Monaco, said that Ben Yedder’s arrival was an important moment for the club and it demonstrated their desire to build an ambitious team for the achievement of the club’s goals.
