The Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Rob Gronkowski already accomplished enough to put himself in the conversation for the best tight end in the history of the NFL. But this doesn’t mean that Gronkowski is ready to slow down anytime soon.

Speaking with the NFL Network on Tuesday, Gronkowski said that his next goal is to break Hall of Famer Tony Gonzalez’s record for most games with 100+ yards receiving by a tight end. The record currently stands at 31 games, while Gronk is at 30 after having racked up 123 receiving yards to help the Bucs get a 38-31 win against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.

“Let me tell you, I’m trying to break that record,” Gronkowski said. “I mean, why wouldn’t I try to break that record? I’m coming for it. Tony, I’m coming for it. Basically, you got every record so I’m coming for this one and it’s a pretty cool one, too, for sure. It just shows that I guess you’re a baller and Tony’s a baller.”

Rob Gronkowski has a realistic chance of surpassing Gonzalez, although it seems he would need at least one more season to get there. The game against the Colts was the first with 100+ receiving yards for the 32-year-old in 2021, while he also had only one last season.

Gronkowski is enjoying a productive season with the Bucs, catching 29 passes for 378 yards and four touchdowns.

Anyone who’s followed the NFL at all over the last couple of decades knows that Tom Brady’s performance takes on a new meaning during the postseason. And this is now proving to be true regardless of the team that he suits up for.

After leading the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to the playoffs this season, and ending a 13-year franchise playoff drought in the process, Brady led them to a 31-23 victory over the Washington Football Team on Saturday.

This postseason win marks Brady’s 31st throughout his career. Years ago, he broke the record for most career playoff wins when he passed San Francisco 49ers quarterback legend Joe Montana who had 16. Now, Brady has nearly doubled that total.

But Brady’s postseason success is more than just the amount of playoff wins he’s racked up. After defeating Washington this weekend, they became the 17th franchise that Brady has ousted in the playoffs. In other words, not only has Brady nearly doubled Montana’s career playoff wins—the number of different teams he’s beaten in the playoffs has surpassed Montana’s total playoff wins!

This is not a knock on Montana in the slightest. He simply serves as a 2nd place marker to show how legendary Brady’s accomplishments are. If that’s how much better Brady is than Montana, think about how lopsided Brady’s accolades look next to other great quarterbacks.

Tom Brady is by far the greatest quarterback of all time, and probably the greatest NFL player we’ve seen as well.

New England Patriots running back Tom Brady reached a milestone he’s always yearned to hit for the past 19 seasons: reach 1,000 rushing yards.

Brady surpassed that mark in the first quarter of Sunday’s 24-10 home win over the Minnesota Vikings after a 5-yard scramble. The 41-year-old has joked about his inability to complete rushing yards before and came to Sunday’s game having lost 160 rushing yards to kneel-downs since 2006.

“It’s just playing a lot of football,” Brady said after the game. “And, obviously, I’m not a scrambler of reaching 1,000 rushing yards. But hopefully, I can make a couple plays. Running for it, made a good third down on that one, and I just give a lot of credit to the offensive line.”

At 41, Brady became the oldest player to surpass the mark since 1970. Coach Bill Belichik, who is fond of Brady made a sarcastic remark about the player’s new record.

“That’s really important to us.”

Besides the 1,000 career rushing yard mark, Brady made another record on Sunday” throwing his 508th season touchdown pass to tie for the third best of all time with Brett Favre. When playoff touchdown passes are included, Brady ties with Peyton Manning at 579-the most in the league.

Minnesota Viking’s Adam Thielen extended his impeccable start this season with 100+ yards logged for six games in a row when Minnesota beat the Cardinals 27-17 on Sunday.

Thielen scored a touchdown in the third quarter to give his team a 20-10 lead after a lofted pass from Kirk Cousins. Thielen his career at Minnesota in 2013 despite not getting drafted by any team. He walked into the Viking’s tryout and made it through in the first attempt. Since then, the 28-year-old has been unstoppable, setting record after record.

This season, the wide receiver has logged 100+ yards in six straight games, ranking him at the first position with 712 yards. Falcons’ Julio Jones ranks second with 707 yards. Thielen leads the NFL in receptions with 58. The only player close to him is Eagles tight end Zach Ertz who has 48.

Thielen is on the verge of breaking a record made in 1961 by Charley Hennigan while he played for the Houston Oilers. Hennigan holds the record with 7 games, meaning Thielen only needs to log 100+ yards two more games to pass the mark. If the 28-year-old makes it to nine games with his record, he is set to break Calvin Johnson’s NFL record of eight games made with 100+ yards in 2012.
