Most NFL fans have been wondering why Pro Bowl wideout Odell Beckham Jr. remains unsigned this late in free agency. Well, it turns out it is his asking price that is making teams hesitant to bring him into the building.

ESPN’s Rich Cimini recently reported that Beckham told interested teams that he wants a deal that would pay him $15 million per year. This appears to be a lower ask than his previous price, which was $20 million annually. The 30-year-old player is reportedly looking for a multi-year deal but would accept a one-year agreement if a team is willing to give him the money he wants.

Despite still being viewed as a difference maker, there is a belief around the league that Beckham is unlikely to get the kind of money he wants. This is mainly due to his injury history, which now includes two torn ACL injuries in the past three years. He suffered his most recent ACL tear in Super Bowl LVI and hasn’t played at all in 2022.

The previous reports indicated that the New York Jets are the favorites to land Beckham if he agrees to lower his demands. The Jets are loading on offensive weapons amid their expected trade for four-time MVP Aaron Rodgers and believe Beckham would fit excellent in their offensive system.

The NY Giants, with whom Beckham spent the first five years of his pro career, are also believed to be in the mix.

The Dallas Cowboys and the New York Giants have both expressed an interest in obtaining the signature of free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. This news adds extra intrigue as the two teams gear up to face each other on Thursday evening.

Beckham has been unattached since leaving the Los Angeles Rams at the conclusion of the 2021 season. Instead, he has been using his off time to recover from a torn anterior cruciate ligament that he suffered in the Rams’ Super Bowl victory. Beckham notably scored the first touchdown of the game before going off injured in the second quarter.

Cowboys quarterback Dax Prescott has been open about his team’s interest in Beckham, commenting: “He knows how much I want him here, and a lot of these guys in this locker room I’ve seen have reached out on their own in different ways to making sure that he understands that this is a team that he can help.”

According to reports, Beckham is expected to wait until after Thanksgiving to decide on his future. Other teams who are in the mix to sign the player include the Buffalo Bills, the Kansas City Chiefs, and the San Francisco 49ers.

Despite still being out with an ACL tear, star wideout Odell Beckham Jr. remains a hot topic among NFL teams. There are multiple teams who would like to get Beckham on board if he recovers in time for the playoffs, with the Los Angeles Rams being considered the favorites.

Still, it appears that Beckham, who helped the Rams to a Super Bowl last season, isn’t that convinced he’ll get back to LA. In a recent Twitter post, the 29-year-old player said he would like to play with the franchise again but was disappointed with a contract offer they presented him.

However, when asked about Beckham’s comments on Wednesday, the Rams’ head coach Sean McVay said the franchise hasn’t given up on him. He also added that he expects the team to make him another contract offer at some point.

“I love Odell. We have constant dialogue. I think he also knows that certainly I don’t think that’s the last (offer) that will come from us,” McVay. said. “I’m not familiar with exactly what it is, he knows how we feel about him. We’ve got a little bit of time.”

After being granted release by the Cleveland Browns midway through last season, Odell Beckham Jr. signed with the Rams until the end of the 2022 campaign. He proved to be a crucial component for the team’s road to Super Bowl, making 21 catches for 288 yards and two touchdowns in the postseason alone.

Unfortunately, Beckham suffered an ACL tear in the second quarter of the Super Bowl and was forced to undergo surgery. According to reports, the three-time Pro Bowler is planning to return to action in the second part of November.

Star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has probably played his last game for the Cleveland Browns. According to multiple reports, the Browns no longer think of Beckham as part of their team.

The news comes after Beckham’s father posted a video on social media that contained a compilation of plays that showcased how Cleveland’s quarterback failed to throw a pass to the Pro Bowl wideout despite him being open. This caused quite a stir on social media and inside the Browns organization, prompting the team to tell Beckham not to come to practice on Wednesday.

Since then, Beckham remained away from the team while his representatives and the Browns brass held several discussions about his future. It is still unclear how the two sides will proceed from here, but Cleveland is already preparing for life without the 28-year-old. This included head coach Kevin Stefanski addressing the team on Thursday and letting them know, according to ESPN’s Jake Trotter, that Beckham “would no longer be a Brown.”

The Browns can’t do much about Beckham at the moment aside from releasing him. They can also wait until the offseason to trade the player and get some assets, but that doesn’t seem likely considering the recent developments.

Odell Beckham Jr. arrived in Cleveland in 2019 in a trade from the New York Giants. Despite having a reputation of being one of the best receivers in the game, he struggled to make an impact with the Browns and has only managed 114 catches for 1,586 yards and seven touchdowns in his two and a half years with the franchise.

New York Giants’ wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is about to get paid. Beckham has been demanding a new contract for some time now, and Giants’ finally decided are ready to give him one. The team’s co-owner John Mara said on Thursday that they will open talks with the 25-year-old Pro Bowler “sooner rather than later.”

“I anticipate that we’ll be speaking with his agents sooner rather than later,” – said Mara. “I’m not going to give you an exact timetable on that or give daily or weekly updates on that. But I think those will start pretty soon, and hopefully, we will come to an agreement.”

Odell Beckham Jr. is currently entering the fifth year of his rookie deal, which will pay him $8.5 million in 2018. Considering that this is well below the market value for a WR of Beckham’s caliber, he started publicly expressing a desire to get a new deal. Giants’ didn’t show major interest in giving him a new deal right away, but Beckham still decided to attend team’s voluntary activities and report for training camp.

This decision ended up having a positive effect.

“It certainly had an effect on our desire to start negotiating,” – Mara added. “[Beckham’s] had the right attitude all along and we expect him to have a great season.”

Odell Beckham Jr. was the 12th overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. He ended up having 91 catches in for 1,305 yards in his rookie season while setting several rookie records and being named NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. He continued with great showings in the following seasons, and was named two times Second-team All-Pro and earned three Pro Bowl selections since entering the league.

The 2017 season, however, was less successful for Beckham, considering the fact he struggled with ankle injuries. He managed to play four games and had 25 catches for 302 yards.
