The post Eddie Hearn: Khan vs Brook fight could take place in 2019 appeared first on yoursportspot.com.
]]>Brook and Khan have had a fierce rivalry for many years, however, organizing a fight will be difficult. Their popularity has declined due to their defeats. Brook lost popularity following his defeats against Errol Spence Jr. and Gennady Golovkin while Khan lost popularity following his T.K.O defeat against Canelo Alvarez in May 2016 before he came back this year and quickly defeated Phil Lo Greco.
Furthermore, both men are in different weight divisions. The 31-year-old Khan only wants to fight at 147 while Brook fights at 154.
Brook competed at 147 last year and did not do well as he went on to be defeated against Errol Spence Jr. via 11th round knockout.
It is likely that Khan is going to want a title shot and aim to fight the winner of the July 15 bout between WBA World welterweight champion Lucas Matthysse and Manny Pacquiao.

]]>Muggsy is the quintessential short player. At 5’3″ he is the shortest player in NBA history, and he managed to stay in the league for 15 seasons. He was always a solid contributor due to his passing ability. During his best season, Bouges averaged 11 points, ten assists, 1.7 steals and four rebounds per game. While Bouges was more known for his passing ability, our next entry was more of a leaper.
Spudd Webb
Webb is the shortest player to ever win a slam dunk contest, but he was much more than a dunker on the court. During the 91-92 season, Webb averaged 16 points, seven assists, and 1.6 steals per game. Not bad for someone who was only 5’7″.
Boykins spent 16 seasons in the NBA despite only being 5’5″. During his best season in the league, Boykins averaged 15 points, four assists, two rebounds and one steal per game.

]]>Considered to be the oldest golf course in the world, The Old Course at St. Andrews in Scotland is a must see. Both its history, its scenic views and the gorgeous architecture of the hotel overlooking the course are all reasons why it’s one of the most beautiful golf courses to visit.
Located in Pebble Beach, California, an area well-known for its breathtaking views, Cypress Point Club is an extremely exclusive course. Most golfers only land a tee-time if they know a member, but those lucky few are not disappointed when they get a look at the course’s views.

Greg Grant, Keith Jennings, Red Klotz, Wataru Misaka, Monte Towe, and Spud Webb were all 5’7″. Spud Webb even went on to win the NBA Slam Dunk Contest in 1986.
Mel Hirsch played for the Boston Celtics from 1946-1947. His arrival into the NBA made him the shortest player in NBA history (at 5’6″) until 1987.
Earl Boykins joined the NBA in 1999 at a whopping height of 5’5″. In addition to being one of the shortest players in NBA history, he is also the shortest player in NBA history to score over 30 points in a single game.
Tyrone “Mugsy” Bogues is the shortest player in NBA history at 5’3″. On top of being the shortest player, he is also known for being the Charlotte Hornets’ leader in assists and steals.
All of these gentlemen proved that though they were small in stature, they were still basketball powerhouses.

]]>The post Cincinnati Reds Remove Manager Bryan Price appeared first on yoursportspot.com.
]]>The Reds hired the 55-year-old Price in 2014 with hopes that he would be able to lead them over the playoff hurdle that has plagued baseball’s oldest franchise for nearly a quarter-century. Cincinnati has not won a playoff series since beating the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1995’s NL Division Series, and after three playoff appearances under Dusty Baker proved fruitless, the Reds decided Price was the man to restore the franchise’s former glory.
Instead, the rise of the Chicago Cubs and the continued strength of the St. Louis Cardinals ensured the Reds never played a postseason game under Price. The team’s best season under his leadership was his first season, where the Reds won 76 games. Following his dismissal, Price released a statement thanking the Reds and general manager Walt Jocketty for the chance to manage the club.
Cincinnati will turn to Jim Riggleman as its manager for the remainder of the season. Riggleman, 65, was the team’s bench coach under Price and brings a wealth of major league managerial experience to the job. The Reds will be the fifth team Riggleman has led in his career, as he previously served as the manager of the San Diego Padres, Chicago Cubs, Seattle Mariners and Washington Nationals.
