It appears that legendary quarterback Tom Brady is having some second thoughts about his decision to retire from the NFL after all. During a recent appearance on the Deep Cut podcast, Brady said that he would “not be opposed” to returning to the NFL.

Brady retired for the first time after the 2021 season but ended up changing his mind less than two months later. He ended up playing in 2022 before retiring once again and saying at the time that his decision was final. Since then, he has rejected the idea of playing again on multiple occasions.

However, when asked by Deep Cut host Vic Blends about how he would react if he received a call from an interested team, Brady gave a surprising answer.

“I’m not opposed to it,” Brady responded. “I don’t know if they are going to let me if I become an owner of an NFL team. I’m always going to be in good shape. I’ll always be able to throw the ball. So, to come in for a little bit, like MJ [Michael Jordan] coming back, I don’t know if they would let me. But I wouldn’t be opposed to it.”

Brady mentioned the possibility of playing for the San Francisco 49ers if they needed a quarterback in the playoffs due to injuries while also mentioning the New England Patriots and the Las Vegas Raiders.

Tom Brady has kept himself busy since retiring from football. He is in the process of joining the Las Vegas Raiders’ ownership and is currently waiting for approval from the league. Brady is also expected to work as a football analyst for Fox Sports in the 2024 NFL season.

The Las Vegas Raiders have added legendary quarterback Tom Brady to their ownership group. The news was confirmed by the Raiders’ majority owner Mark Davis in a recent chat with ESPN.

According to Davis, the agreement between him and Brady is currently waiting to be approved by the NFL owners.

“We’re excited for Tom to join the Raiders, and it’s exciting because he will be just the third player in the history of the National Football League to become an owner,” Davis told ESPN.

The first player to be an NFL team owner was Jerry Richardson, who played for the Chicago Bears from 1920 to 1929 while serving as the team’s owner from 1921 until his death in 1983. The second was Jerry Richardson, who played two seasons with the Baltimore Colts (1959-1960) while owning the Carolina Panthers from 1995 to 2018.

Becoming a minority owner in the Raiders marks Tom Brady’s second business venture with Mark Davis. Brady previously joined the ownership group of WNBA’s Las Vegas Aces, which also has Davis serving as the controlling owner.

Brady will be welcomed by several other familiar faces inside the Raiders’ organization. The team’s head coach Josh McDaniels served as Brady’s offensive coordinator during his time with the New England Patriots, while general manager Dave Ziegler was director of player personnel in New England. The Raiders’ roster also features a number of former Pats players, including quarterbacks Jimmy Garoppolo and Brian Hoyer.

Tom Brady, the most accomplished NFL player in history, announced his retirement from professional football on Wednesday. This is the second time that Brady has retired, having walked away at the end of the 2021 season only to change his mind a month later. But don’t expect the same to happen this time.

Announcing his decision in a video posted on social media, Brady said that his second retirement is “for good”. He also added that he didn’t want to make it a big deal like it was the first time.

“I won’t be long-winded,” said Brady in the clip. “You only get one super emotional retirement essay, and I used mine up last year, so really thank you guys so much to every single one of you for supporting me.”

Brady spent the first 20 years of his career with the New England Patriots, leading the franchise to six Super Bowl wins and winning numerous individual accolades. He left New England after the 2019 season to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. With the Bucs, Brady won another Super Bowl ring while also adding to his expansive list of NFL records.

Following the 2022 NFL season, which ended with a wild-card playoff exit for the Bucs, Brady became a free agent. He was linked with a number of teams, including the Las Vegas Raiders, the San Francisco 49ers, and the Miami Dolphins, but ultimately decided to end his journey as a professional football player.

Despite retirement, Brady will remain involved in football. He already signed a 10-year, $375 million contract with Fox Sports that will see him make him venture into the role of an analyst.

Despite turning 45 in August, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ quarterback Tom Brady is still playing at a high level. He moved the longevity limits for the position and inspired other signal-callers to start thinking about prolonging their careers.

One of the quarterbacks who might follow Brady’s path is the Kansas City Chiefs’ signal caller Patrick Mahomes.

“I want to play as long as I can play, and I can still have a chance to help the team get better,” Mahomes said recently when asked whether he would like to play until 45 like Brady. “Obviously, it’s hard to play until you’re 45 years old, and I don’t want to be out there just hanging on. You see what Tom is—he’s still playing at a very high level. I think that’s why it’s hard for him to kind of give it up—when you’re playing at a high level, you don’t want to leave it.”

Mahomes and Brady, who have an 18-year age difference, will meet on the field this Sunday when the Chiefs face the Bucs. It will be the sixth time these two meet and a chance for Mahomes to pull level with the greatest of all time.

Brady currently holds the head-to-head advantage, beating Mahomes three times in five games. This included the 31-9 win in Super Bowl LV, which gave Brady his seventh Super Bowl ring.

Tampa Bay Buccanneers quarterback Tom Brady insisted during an interview on Thursday that the ring finger on his throwing hand is fine after experiencing discomfort. Brady revealed on his “Let’s Go!” podcast that he injured his ring finger during the Buccanneers’ resounding 20-10 win over the New Orleans Saints last week.

While the veteran admitted that he downplayed the injury’s severity at first, he insisted that he is recovering well and stated “I feel great” when asked by reporters, going on to declare that “It’s football season.” Brady was not listed as one of the 12 players featured on Tampa Bay’s injury report for the week.

According to reporters who observed Brady in training, the player seemed to be experiencing discomfort during Thursday’s training session. Still, Brady explained that injuries such as this are part of the game.

“I banged it up pretty good, but it didn’t affect me at all in the game. Just going to be sore throughout the week. But one of those bumps and bruises that comes along with playing.” Brady confirmed that those players who are able to recover fast from injuries and get back on the field are the ones that come out on top, signaling his own determination to make a swift recovery.

Tom Brady, the most accomplished player in NFL history, confirmed his decision to retire from professional football after 22 seasons in the league. Brady made the announcement on Tuesday via a statement posted on his official social media.

“This is difficult for me to write, but here it goes: I am not going to make that competitive commitment anymore,” Brady, who spent the past two seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, wrote on Instagram. “I have loved my NFL career, and now it is time to focus my time and energy on other things that require my attention.”

ESPN reported the news about Brady’s retirement late last week, but the Buccaneers and those close to the legendary quarterback insisted that he still hasn’t made the final decision. The 44-year-old followed this up by saying that he’ll reveal his plans for the future “when the time’s right” while making an appearance on the “Let’s Go!” podcast. The time ended up being right less than 24 hours later.

“I’ve done a lot of reflecting the past week and have asked myself difficult questions,” Brady added. “And I am so proud of what we have achieved. My teammates, coaches, fellow competitors, and fans deserve 100% of me, but right now, it’s best I leave the field of play to the next generation of dedicated and committed athletes.”

Tom Brady entered the league as the New England Patriots’ sixth-round pick in 2000. He went on to win six Super Bowl rings with the franchise while winning three NFL MVP honors as well. Brady then left New England in 2020 to sign with the Bucs and managed to lead the franchise to a Super Bowl win in his first season in Tampa Bay. The Buccaneers were eliminated in the NFC’s divisional round this postseason.

Brady is widely viewed as the greatest quarterback in NFL history and holds almost every passing record there is. He retires with 84,520 passing yards, 624 passing touchdowns, and a career completion percentage of 64.2.

The New Orleans Saints did something that no other NFL team managed to in 15 years. In a 9-0 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Saints handed quarterback Tom Brady his first shutout since 2006 and only the third in his career.

The Saints went after Brady from the get-go, pressuring him into early throws or forcing him to take a sack. They were so efficient that Brady managed to throw for 214 yards while completing just 54.2 percent of his passes. Both were season-lows for the 44-year-old.

At the end of the game, Brady also had one interception, one forced fumble, and was sacked four times.

The Saints will likely cherish the shutout even more, knowing that they helped franchise legend Drew Brees preserve his record for most games without a shutout (304). Entering the game against New Orleans, Brady had an active streak of 255 games in which his offense put up points on board.

Brady’s struggles on Sunday night were no coincidence. Since he arrived in Tampa ahead of the 2020 NFL season, the Saints were his toughest matchup, and he lost all four times he played against them in the regular season. However, he did get the better of them in the playoffs last season when the Bucs beat New Orleans en route to Super Bowl.

By losing to the Saints, the Bucs have diminished their chances of getting the top seed in NFC. They are currently 10-4 while the conference leaders, Green Bay Packers, have 11-3 and own a tiebreaker.

The Saints, on the other hand, improved to a 7-7 record and kept their playoff chances alive.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady insists that injury will not hold him back from appearing in his team’s next game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday night. Brady injured his thumb on his right throwing hand, and believes that he was fortunate enough to escape serious injury.

With 2:30 minutes left on the clock in the first half, Brady hit his thumb on the helmet of a defender. Still, the veteran quarterback played through the pain, an act that resulted in the rest of the team and the coaching staff remaining unaware of his injury until the half-time break.

“I didn’t [know]. But he’s a tough guy obviously, one of the most durable players we’ve seen. He looked normal to me, so I didn’t know he was injured,” wide receiver Mike Evans revealed after hearing about Brady’s injury.

Brady continued participating in team practices following his injury, albeit to a limited extent. At Monday’s practice, Brady wore a glove on his right hand and did not throw any passes. Brady upped his involvement during Tuesday’s practice, with coach Bruce Arians stating that the 44-year-old did not express any pain when throwing passes.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Tom Brady is one of the rare QBs in NFL history that managed to defeat all of the 32 teams in the league. And you can bet there is one team out there that Brady particularly enjoys beating.

While appearing on his podcast Let’s Go!, which he hosts alongside Larry Fitzgerald and Jim Gray, Brady revealed that he always enjoys the most when he gets a win against the New York Giants.

“The team I would love to beat the most is the Giants, there’s no doubt about that because they’ve taken away some really, you know—I’ve always joked with Eli [Manning, the former Giants’ QB] but, yeah, and I think he likes that I bring it up all the time,” Brady said. “So to bring it up again, I do not like losing to those guys, so when we beat them I love that.”

The reason why Tom Brady enjoys beating the Giants is pretty clear. While with the New England Patriots, Brady faced the New York Giants twice in the Super Bowl and lost both times. This included the 2007 NFL season when the Pats were one win away from the perfect season but ended up being denied by the Giants in Super Bowl XLII.

Brady also revealed the team he likes beating the least, with the answer being unsurprising.

“And the team I like to beat the least is obviously the Patriots. Again, those are my guys, man,” said Brady.
