The Golden State Warriors have kept their hopes of repeating as NBA champions alive. The Warriors managed to survive the Sacramento Kings’ comeback attempt in Game 4 of the first-round series between the two teams to get a 125-126 win. The series is now tied at 2-2.

The Warriors trailed at the half of Game 4 by four points but delivered their signature third-quarter barrage that saw them build a 10-point lead to start the final period. The Kings made a strong comeback effort in the fourth, and got within one point with 30 seconds left on the clock thanks to a curios mistake by Golden State’s Stephen Curry.

Curry called a timeout after being double-teamed, forgetting that head coach Steven Kerr used all of his timeouts. Sacramento’s Malik Monk made the technical free-throw before De’Aaron Fox drilled a three-pointer for 125-126.

The Kings played great defense on the following possession to get the ball back and set themselves up for a potential game-winning shot. Still, they couldn’t seal the deal as Harrison Barnes missed his three-point attempt as the clock expired.

The Warriors were led by the “Splash Brothers,” seeing Curry score 32 points and Klay Thompson go for 26. Fox had 38 points for the Kings while rookie Keegan Murray added 23 points and seven rebounds.

The series now returns to Sacramento for Game 5 on Wednesday night.

Golden State Warriors forward Andre Iguodala is set to undergo surgery next week after fracturing his left wrist. Currently, the Warriors have no timetable for Iguodala’s post-surgery return.

Iguodala injured his wrist during the Warriors’ 123-112 victory over the Phoenix Suns on Monday night. This is the latest setback in what has been an injury-ridden season for Iguodala.

Having only made his season debut in January, Iguodala was out for the first 39 games due to a left hip injury. He then played in three games before being forced out of the next 21 games due to right hip soreness.

Currently on a one-year veteran minimum contract with the Warriors, Iguodala’s absence will be heavily felt by the Warriors, head coach Steve Kerr admitted.

Without Iguodala’s availability, the Warriors’ injury crisis continues to worsen. After a three-game absence, Jonathan Kuminga continues to harbor a right ankle sprain while Lester Quinones’ 10-day contract expired, leaving two-way players Ty Jerome and Anthony Lamb ineligible to play.

The Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry is set to remain on the sidelines, with the team planning to reevaluate his lower left leg injury in another week’s time. So far, the point guard has missed five games as a result of the setback.

Curry’s left knee collided with that of Dallas Mavericks point guard McKinley Wright IV during the Warriors’ 119-113 win on February 5. As a result, he incurred partial tears to his superior tibiofibular ligaments and interosseous membrane along with a contusion to his left lower leg.

“We know we are going to be without Steph for the foreseeable future, so same thing as what happened the last time he went down … we patch things together,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr said with regard to Curry’s absence. “The guys strung together a five-game winning streak. We held down the fort. That’s the plan this time, too.”

Heading into the final 24 games of the season, Kerr insists that his team must “tighten up” regardless even as several key players remain unavailable. The Warriors are currently ninth in the Western Conference standings.

The Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry is set to be re-evaluated on Saturday for his left shoulder subluxation. The Warriors are hoping that he will be able to return to action next Friday as the team gears up to face the San Antonio Spurs as part of a six-game road trip.

“He’s working out on the court, and the two-week mark to re-evaluate him this weekend,” Warriors general manager Bob Myers confirmed. “There have been no setbacks, so (Friday) would be a hope. That’s what we would be shooting for, something in that range when he could be back. He’s been, not contact, but out there doing all this stuff. He looks like the same guy. He’s got a sleeve on his shoulder and arm.”

Curry injured his shoulder during the Warriors’ 119-125 loss to the Indiana Pacers on December 14 when he bumped into the Pacers’ Jalen Smith in the third quarter.

Wednesday night’s 122-119 loss to the Detroit Pistons sees the Warriors go 6-5 without their star point guard. The team now finds itself within reach of a playoff spot. Ranked ninth in the Western Conference, the Warriors are tied with the eight-placed Phoenix Suns and are a game behind the sixth-placed Los Angeles Clippers.

Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry is set to undergo further tests after injuring his left shoulder during his team’s 125-119 loss at the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday night.

Curry sustained his injury during the third quarter when attempting to strip Indiana’s Jalen Smith of the ball. Following this injury, Curry was unable to continue the game and had to depart with 2:04 left in the quarter.

“I checked in with [Curry] briefly but haven’t had a chance to go into detail,” coach Steve Kerr stated after Curry’s departure. “Steph is always a guy with a great outlook on life, so he’s in good spirits.”

Kerr went on to praise Curry for the effort he put into his offensive game in an effort to give the Warriors a fighting chance. He amassed 38 points; almost half of the Warriors’ 80 points before his injury. It was ultimately this effort that led to his shoulder strain.

In order to accurately diagnose the issue and its severity, Curry will undergo an MRI scan on Thursday.

The Golden State Warriors knew they would have a slim chance to win another NBA title if they lost Game 4 in the finals series against the Celtics on Friday night. So their superstar guard Stephen Curry made sure they don’t.

Despite playing bruised after Al Horford landed on his leg in Game 3, Curry exploded for 43 points to give the Warriors a 107-97 win. He made seven 3-pointers while also finishing the night with 10 rebounds and four assists.

“It means everything knowing the sense of urgency we had to have tonight to win on the road and keep some life in the series, get the home-court advantage back and try to create some momentum our way,” Curry said after the game.

Curry had help from his Splash Brother Klay Thompson, who scored 18 on the night, while Andrew Wiggins added 17 and grabbed 16 rebounds.

Boston was led by Jayson Tatum, who scored 23 points and added 11 rebounds and six assists. Jaylen Brown scored 21 points, while Marcus Smart had 18.

Golden State’s win meant that the series is now tied 2-2 and that the Warriors once again have the home-court advantage. The next game is scheduled for Monday night at Chase Center.

Not many could’ve seen how the NBA Finals between the Golden State Warriors and Toronto Raptors would play out.

Despite facing the two-time reigning NBA Champions, the upstart Toronto Raptors have taken a commanding 3-1 series lead after a 105-92 win at Oracle Arena in Oakland this weekend.

The Raptors will have a chance to wrap up the series and claim their first ever NBA Championship in a Game 5 matchup at home on Monday night.

The Warriors, who are still without superstar forward Kevin Durant, simply couldn’t find enough offensive spark to get past the Raptors and superstar Kawhi Leonard.

If the Raptors are able to close out the series, Leonard will certainly take home the Finals MVP honors, and deservingly so. The forward dominated yet again in Oakland in Game 4, scoring 36 points and grabbing 12 rebounds in a monster double-double performance.

Toronto also benefitted from a big night from Serge Ibaka off the bench. Ibaka tallied 20 points in limited action, asserting his will in the paint.

While Steph Curry and Klay Thompson scored 28 and 27 points, respectively, their teammates just couldn’t provide enough buckets to keep up with Toronto.

Game 5 will be played in Toronto in front of what is sure to be a fired-up crowd on Monday night.

While few might’ve expected the Golden State Warriors-Los Angeles Clippers series to go to six games, Golden State took care of business, even if it took a little longer than expected.

The Warriors beat the Clippers 129-110 on Friday night to win Game 6 and advance to the next round of the playoffs.

The underdog Clippers gave the Warriors a harder challenge than they expected. After winning Game 5 at Oracle Arena, Golden State had to hit the road again to play in LA for Game 6.

Despite resistance, Kevin Durant and the Warriors were simply too much for the Clippers to handle. Their talent won out in the end.

Durant had one of the greatest performance of his career on Friday night, scoring 50 points in the Warriors’ win. No matter what defense LA tried against the forward, nothing worked. The total was Durant’s career-high for points in a playoff game.

Steph Curry added 24 points of his own and dished out 6 assists in the win.

Golden State now advances to the Western Conference semi-finals two square off against the Houston Rockets. There, two pairs of superstars will battle it out as Durant and Curry face off against James Harden and Chris Paul.

The Golden State Warriors lost a 18-point lead at halftime in an overtime loss to the Timberwolves which was ripe with controversy.

Golden State felt cheated by the referees after several controversial calls in crunch time on Friday night.

The Warriors’ loss saw them lose their slight advantage over the Denver Nuggets for the #1 seed in the Western Conference. Both teams are now tied with a 51-24 record, with 6 games left to go in the season. Either team has an equal chance of winning home-court advantage throughout the playoffs.

The Warriors were especially upset after Friday’s game because they felt that they were unfairly treated by the officials. The team was especially upset with a “phantom” foul call as time expired in overtime. At this point, the two teams were tied 130-130.

Referee Marat Korgut called a foul on Kevin Durant after a lob pass to Wolves forward Karl-Anthony Towns. Despite the contact on the play, the ball appeared to have been traveling far over Towns’ head and out of bounds.

Nonetheless, a fall was called and the Warriors watched helplessly as Towns made one of two free throws to seal a win for Minnesota.

Golden State will attempt to get back some momentum in their next game against Charlotte on Sunday night.

The 120-117 final score reflects what wasn’t a close and back-and-forth matchup all night.

The win cushions Golden State’s Western Conference advantage, moving them to 44-19 and extending their lead in the conference to 1.5 games over Denver.

The 76ers dropped to 4th in the East with their tough home loss, falling behind the Indiana Pacers. They are now 40-23.

The Sixers let a glorious opportunity go by. They controlled the game in the first half, leading Golden State by 12 points at the break. They weren’t able to hold on to their lead, however, as the Warriors finally pulled ahead in the fourth quarter.

Kevin Durant led Golden State’s scoring attack with 34 points. He also collected 5 rebounds and 5 assists.

Steph Curry and DeMarcus Cousins both stepped up with big performances as well, scoring 28 and 25 points, respectively.

Ben Simmons has a fantastic game in his team’s loss, collecting a triple double. He scored 25 points and also racked up 15 boards and 11 assists.
