Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, arguably the best wide receiver duo in the NFL, will remain with the Cincinnati Bengals for years to come. Chase and Higgins made an appearance on Fox Sports over the weekend and confirmed they both agreed to new deals with the franchise.

Chase inked a four-year, $161 million extension that made him the highest-paid non-quarterback in league history. His $40.25 million annually surpassed the $40 million per year that the Cleveland Browns gave Myles Garrett earlier in the offseason.

Meanwhile, Higgins, who was previously franchise tagged for the second consecutive season, received a four-year, $115 million contract.

The Bengals were highly motivated to sort out the deals for Chase and Higgins in order to keep their quarterback Joe Burrow happy. Burrow previously indicated that he wants both of his top targets in the building for the foreseeable future and even expressed willingness to “take less” in order to make that happen.

Chase established himself as one of the best wide receivers in the league since being taken fifth overall in the 2021 NFL Draft. He is coming off his best season as a pro, leading the league in catches (127), receiving yards (1,708), and receiving touchdowns (17).

Meanwhile, Higgins has a reputation for being a reliable No. 2 option who would easily be a leading wideout on another team. Injuries limited him to 12 games in 2024 but he still managed to get 73 catches, 911 receiving yards, and 10 touchdowns.
