Brooklyn Nets guard Ben Simmons is reportedly set to split with his longtime agency Klutch Sports. According to ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne, the two sides “mutually” decided to part ways earlier this week.

Klutch Sports represented Simmons since he entered the NBA as the No.1 pick by the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2016 NBA Draft. The agency negotiated the five-year, $177 million rookie extension Simmons signed with the 76ers in 2019 and helped him land endorsement deals with Nike and Beats by Dre, among other brands.

The Athletic’s Jon Krawczynski later reported that Simmons already has a new agent in mind and expects to sign with industry veteran Bernie Lee. The list of players that Lee represents includes Miami Heat’s Jimmy Butler, Dallas Mavericks’ Justin Holiday, and Utah Jazz’s Kris Dunn.

Ben Simmons is currently having the toughest stretch of his career. In 42 games he played in 2022-23, he has been averaging 6.9 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 6.1 assists, all career-worst. The 26-year-old hasn’t played a single game since mid-February, being sidelined with left knee soreness.

It remains to be seen whether Lee can help Simmons navigate recent struggles and help him return to his previous level. While with the 76ers, Simmons earned three All-Star nods and was selected in the NBA All-Defensive First Team twice.

The Brooklyn Nets’ guard Ben Simmons is facing another spell on the sidelines. After missing time with various injuries on multiple occasions earlier this season, Simmons is now expected to miss more time dealing with knee soreness.

Simmons had his knee flare up during practice recently, forcing him to miss the Nets’ first two games after the All-Star break. While Brooklyn didn’t provide more details about Simmons’ condition, the player himself hinted that he could be out for an extended time.

“We’re going to reevaluate it in about a week and see where I’m at,” Simmons said via the New York Post. “There’s some targets I need to hit and get to.”

Simmons also opened up about his frustrations with the injuries that limited him to just 42 games and 26.3 minutes per game in 2022-23.

“I’ve been battling it all year. I haven’t been 100 percent all year,” he added. “I just want to be on the court, regardless of what it is and whatever position I have. I’m just trying to give the team what I can.”

When he was able to play, Simmons struggled to make the significant impact that the Nets envisioned when they acquired him as part of James Harden trade with the Philadelphia 76ers. The three-time All-Star showed that he is still a valuable defensive presence but has struggled on the offensive side of the ball, averaging only 6.9 points throughout the campaign.

Brooklyn Nets teammates Ben Simmons and T.J. Warren both picked up knee injuries in the Nets’ 130-122 loss to the Detroit Pistons on Thursday night.

Simmons, who has missed 11 games to date this season due to multiple injury setbacks, left the game in the third quarter after what was a disappointing night for him. He went 0-for-3 with seven assists, one rebound, and three turnovers before leaving the court.

Forward T.J. Warren departed the game midway through the fourth quarter when he suffered a left knee contusion. Nets coach Jacque Vaughn said after the game that it remains unclear whether Simmons and Warren would be in need of an MRI scan following their injuries.

Warren and Simmons’ injuries are the latest in an extended list of injury setbacks for the Nets this season. Star forward Kevin Durant remains unavailable for at least a few more weeks as he continues to battle an MCL sprain in his right knee, while Seth Curry was unavailable for the Pistons game after he experienced right knee soreness.

It remains unclear whether Simmons or Warren would be available for the Nets’ next outing against the New York Knicks.

The Brooklyn Nets forward Ben Simmons has continued his less-than-promising return to the court on Thursday night when he was ejected from the Nets’ 117-112 loss to the Phoenix Suns after just 18 minutes.

Having missed out on 11 games so far this season due to injury setbacks, Simmons was ejected due to arguing with referee Eric Lewis. With just 8:47 left in the third quarter, Simmons was called out by Lewis for what was his fifth foul of the game.

Nets coach Jacque Vaughn expressed his concerns over Simmons’ conduct during the game as well as his struggle to recover his form. “We need him to be productive, and that is without the fouls,” Vaughn explained. “That is helping us rebound the basketball. That is playing with poise and composure. That is pushing the pace for us.”

When questioned about his on-court antics, Simmons refused to go into detail, instead choosing to remain silent out of fear of picking up a fine. So far this season, Simmons has averaged 7.5 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 6.3 assists.

The Brooklyn Nets star Ben Simmons was ruled out shortly before Sunday night’s 112-102 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder due to back soreness.

While all of the Nets players aside from the injured Kevin Durant emerged fit from Saturday’s training session, coach Jacque Vaughn reminded that Simmons’ back problems are tricky to navigate and easily aggravated.

“He went through warmups, felt some tightness,” Vaughn commented. “So that was the report I had, and then he was a late scratch. He’ll be on the trip with us, so hopefully, it’s one game.”

The Nets are about to embark on a five-game road trip starting with a game against the San Antonio Spurs. While the team sits second in the Eastern Conference, the Nets will have to cope without Simmons nor key player Durant in the squad.

Simmons has missed 11 games this season as a result of various injuries, including when he needed time to recover after undergoing back surgery during the offseason. His numerous injury concerns have prevented him from finding consistency this season. Simmons grabbed 13 assists and nine rebounds during his last appearance during the 109-98 loss to the Boston Celtics on Friday.

The Brooklyn Nets star Ben Simmons will miss at least three more games as he attempts to recover from a left lateral upper calf strain. The swingman has already missed six games this season due to left knee soreness.

Nets coach Jacque Vaughn confirmed that an MRI revealed a new knee issue for Simmons. “It’s the knee, but the back of the knee,” Vaughn stated after the Nets’ 107-113 win over the Washington Wizards on Wednesday. “He was grabbing his knee during the game and said he needed to come out. It ended up being the back of the knee, so it’s the upper part of the calf.”

Simmons left Monday’s 102-109 win over the Orlando Magic early after suffering pain derived from what appeared to be the same knee issue. This comes after the player underwent back surgery during the offseason.

Joining Simmons on the sidelines is Yuta Watanabe, who will miss at least another week as he continues to battle a right hamstring strain. Having last played on November 20, Watanabe’s hopes of a smooth recovery were dashed when an MRI on Monday revealed results “consistent” with the first test.

Brooklyn Nets player Ben Simmons will not play in his team’s game on Wednesday against the Washington Wizards, the team has confirmed. This comes after coach Jacque Vaughn described the 26-year-old player as day-to-day after the player experienced discomfort in his left knee during the Nets’ 109-102 win over the Orlando Magic on Monday.

Simmons had to leave the game after experiencing pain in his left knee; the latest flare-up in what has been an ongoing knee problem for the player. Wednesday’s clash with the Wizards will be the seventh game that Simmons has missed this season through injury.

“We’ve got to play smaller—he’s one of our bigs out there,” teammate Kevin Durant commented when asked about changes that will have to be made to the team in Simmons’ absence. “So I thought Coach did a good job of trying to pick out the small lineup on the fly. We got to play a little faster, and I think we all got to do a good job of gang rebounding, doing the little stuff when he’s not out there.”

Yuta Watanabe also remains unavailable for the Wizards game as he continues to battle a right hamstring strain.

So I’m feeling great”, Simmons explained, adding, “I’ll be in tonight. I think I’ve got like 20 minutes.”

Simmons missed the past four NBA games due to experiencing soreness in his left knee. The Australian player underwent an MRI last week, but while the test came back clean, he needed to get his knee drained and was unable to play in the Nets’ first two road games of the season.

With an average of 6.2 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 7.3 assists in six games, Simmons attributed his slow start to the season to the knee injury along with his rehabilitation after undergoing back surgery during the offseason.

The 26-year-old player claims that the knee injury could be connected to his back injury, adding that he will continue to work on recovering from both injuries.

It’s not a secret that All-Star guard Ben Simmons and superstar center Joel Embiid were not best friends while with the Philadelphia 76ers. But it turns out that things between these two talented players were much worse than anyone thought.

During a recent interview with ESPN, Simmons revealed that he and Embiid never had a great relationship.

“I don’t talk to Jo,” Simmons shared when asked whether he had talked with Embiid lately. “We never really spoke.”

“I don’t think there was really a relationship there,” Simmons added. “… I don’t have any anger or hate towards him. He is who he is, and I am who I am.”

Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid were teammates for four seasons in Philadelphia and were often considered the best young duo in the NBA. Led by the duo, the 76ers found success in the regular season but never managed to get over the hump in the playoffs. Playing together, Simmons and Embiid never got past the Conference Semifinals.

The pairing was blown up in the summer of 2021 when Simmons refused o play for the 76ers anymore and asked to be traded. He ended up getting his wish fulfilled midway through the 2021-22 campaign, being sent to the Nets in exchange for superstar James Harden.

Philadelphia 76ers forward Tobias Harris came out in support of Ben Simmons following the 25-year-old’s dispute with management over his contract holdout. Following the 76ers 114-109 loss to the Brooklyn Nets on Friday night, Harris made the following comment:

“I think it’s obviously a good start. But as I said, at this time we have to respect his privacy, his space, and we’ve got to be there for him, with what he’s going through and this process.”

Harris furthermore explained that the public often has misconceptions about athletes, forgetting that they too have human emotions and go through personal turmoil that fans and the press do not see.

According to multiple sources, Simmons is scheduled to meet with medical professionals after alerting the coaching staff that he is not yet mentally prepared to return to NBA action.

In addition to medical consultations, Simmons also met with coach Doc Rivers and his teammates on Friday morning, when he began the process that will likely delay his return to action. Despite any past disagreements, the 76ers have offered Simmons whatever resources he needs in order to help him overcome his struggles and return to action.

The Brooklyn Nets point guard and small forward Ben Simmons confirmed that he will be fit to play in Monday night’s clash against the Dallas Mavericks. “It took a few days to get some rehab in, get it right.
