The Brooklyn Nets point guard and small forward Ben Simmons confirmed that he will be fit to play in Monday night’s clash against the Dallas Mavericks. “It took a few days to get some rehab in, get it right. So I’m feeling great”, Simmons explained, adding, “I’ll be in tonight. I think I’ve got like 20 minutes.”

Simmons missed the past four NBA games due to experiencing soreness in his left knee. The Australian player underwent an MRI last week, but while the test came back clean, he needed to get his knee drained and was unable to play in the Nets’ first two road games of the season.

With an average of 6.2 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 7.3 assists in six games, Simmons attributed his slow start to the season to the knee injury along with his rehabilitation after undergoing back surgery during the offseason.

The 26-year-old player claims that the knee injury could be connected to his back injury, adding that he will continue to work on recovering from both injuries.
