Stroud with the Number 2 overall pick, the Texans moved back into the Number 3 spot to select Alabama linebacker Will Anderson Jr. In order to make the move, Houston sent their other first-round pick at number 12 and their number 33 pick along with a first- and third-rounder in the 2024 draft to the Arizona Cardinals.
Yet again, it was the Texans at the forefront when the record-breaking 41st trade was made. They completed a deal with the Buffalo Bills to move up to the 205th spot to select Iowa State wide receiver Xavier Hutchinson in the sixth round.
The Arizona Cardinals proved to be the biggest movers on the weekend, securing a potential 11 picks in the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft.

At the end of the second series of the game, however, Hoyer suffered a concussion, thereby bringing his game to an early end. He remained on the Patriots’ injured reserve for the remainder of the season.
Prior to leaving the Patriots, Hoyer had one year remaining on his contract along with $1.4 million in guaranteed money for 2023.
In addition to Hoyer, the Raiders also signed former Patriots player Danny Amendola on Tuesday as coaching assistant/returners. He spent 13 seasons at the Patriots, making 230 catches for 2,383 yards and 12 touchdowns during his time there.

Clark, who spent the 2022 season with the Detroit Lions, proved to be a major asset for the Lions, averaging 16.7 yards per catch in 11 games. A clear vertical threat, Clark also caught 30 passes for 502 yards and three touchdowns during the 2022 season.
Overall, Clark has 177 receptions for 2,544 yards and 18 touchdowns throughout his career. He was also a Pro Bowl selection in 2019.

]]>Cincinnati was prepared to pay a premium price to land Brown, one of the most highly-regarded offensive tackles in free agency this offseason. Portner confirmed that Brown will earn $42.3 million over the first two years of his contract while receiving a signing bonus of over $31 million; the highest in history for an offensive linesman. This signing bonus is $10 million higher than those earned by offensive linemen Ted Karras, Alex Cappa, and La’el Collins combined when they signed for the Bengals last offseason.
Upon arriving in Cincinnati, Brown will be the most accomplished player on the Bengals’ roster. He is one of just four offensive linemen in the league to be named a Pro Bowler over each of the last four seasons, along with Jason Kelce, Quenton Nelson, and Joel Bitonio.
Should Brown continue to play left tackle upon moving to the Bengals, then former first-round pick Jonah Williams is largely expected to be shifted to a new position within the starting lineup.

]]>The arrival of Smith will provide a major boost to the Ravens, who are looking to fill a major void in the middle of their defense, with both Josh Bynes has struggled and Patrick Queen falling short of their expectations. To date, Smith leads the NFL with 83 tackles this season.
With Smith still owed $5.408 million for the rest of the season, the Bears will pay him $4.833 million while the Ravens have undertaken to pay him the remaining $575,000. This season, Smith was set to play out the final year of his rookie contract with the Bears.
As a two-time second-team All-Pro, Smith is expected to provide Baltimore with the talent they need to improve their troubling defensive record this season. To date, the Ravens have conceded an average of 22.9 points per game, thus ranking 20th in the NFL. Should this rate persist, the Ravens would be on track to their worst defensive performance since 2015.

]]>According to an announcement made by the Cowboys on Tuesday, the team gave up a 2023 sixth-round pick to acquire Hankins. As part of the trade, the Raiders are also sending a seventh-rounder in 2024 to Dallas.
Hankins has played sparingly this season, spending less than 50 percent of the snaps in each of his five appearances. He has 10 tackles, one QB hit, and one pass deflection in 2022.
While Hankins isn’t expected to make a significant difference for the Cowboys, he will add size to their defensive front and should make it more efficient against the opposing running backs. Dallas has allowed 4.4 yards per carry this season, which is enough for 20th in the league in run defense.
Johnathan Hankins started his pro career as a second-round pick with the New York Giants in 2013. He spent four years with the Giants and had a one-season stint with the Indianapolis Colts before landing with the Raiders. Hankins has 337 tackles and 14.5 sacks on his NFL resume.

]]>In exchange for Robsinson, the Jets are prepared to offer the Jaguars their 2023 conditional sixth-round draft pick, which will become a fifth-round pick should Robinson rush for 600 yards this season. With 340 yards already, Robsinson looks on track to reach this target.
Jets general manager Joe Douglas began scouring the market for a replacement for standout running back Breece Hall after the rookie suffered a season-ending knee injury on Sunday. With the November 1 trade deadline fast approaching, Douglas is under pressure to find a suitable replacement in time.
While one of the league’s standout players two seasons ago, Robinson has since been knocked down the pecking order on the Jaguars’ roster. His expendability makes him a more achievable target for the Jets.
Although a strong replacement, it will prove challenging for Robinson, or any other alternative for that matter, to replicate Hall’s production. Hall sits eighth in the NFL in rushing with 463 yards and has scored a touchdown in each of his four previous games.

]]>While faced with much opposition by those who wished to see Watson’s departure from the team, Texans general manager Nick Caserio has remained intent on only parting ways with the player upon receiving a deal that he believes reflects Watson’s true worth. The Texans are, however, reportedly open to resuming trade negotiations during the next offseason.
Texans owner Cal McNair would ideally like to see Watson traded before Tuesday’s deadline, however, he resolved to leave Caserio with the discretion to make a final decision.
Watson had been linked with potential moves to several teams during the offseason, including the Miami Dolphins and the Carolina Panthers. While Watson desired a place in the Dolphins’ team, Miami stated that he would have to resolve his ongoing legal issues before a move could be sealed. Watson also reportedly waived his no-trade clause for the Dolphins and is believed to not have done the same for the Panthers.

Watt furthermore assured the media that he still has the hunger to succeed. Coach Mike Tomlin, who remained optimistic ahead of the deal’s completion, expressed his happiness, explaining that he experienced a large sense of relief that the contract had been signed so timeously, especially before the Steelers game against the Buffalo Bills.
Upon being asked if he would have played in the upcoming game even if the deal had not been signed, Watt simply responded by saying that he was relieved that no such decision had to be made.
