Sources have reported that tight end George Kittle is likely to feature in the San Francisco 49ers’ next fixture despite still recovering from a calf injury that he incurred near the start of the season. The 49ers next play the Seattle Seahawks at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California on October 3rd.

Having been sidelined for much of the past week due to his injured calf, Kittle first experienced swelling and pain during the 49ers’ 41-33 victory over the Detroit Lions in Week 1 of the new season. Kittle was entirely absent from training on Wednesday and Thursday, before participating in Friday’s training to a limited extent.

Despite his injury setback, Kittle remains the 49ers’ second-best performer in terms of receptions (15) and receiving yards (187). He remains determined to make his way back into the team before the clash against the Seahawks.

Following Friday’s practice, Kittle promised to “do everything I can” in order to be match-ready. “And then if the body says I can go, I’ll be out there,” the player passionately stated.

The only player that is confirmed to be unavailable through injury is running back Elijah Mitchell, who is dealing with a shoulder injury.
