The Super Bowl game is set to return to Bay Area. According to sources close to NFL, the San Francisco 49ers’ Levi’s Stadium will be selected to host Super Bowl 60.

Levi’s Stadium already hosted the Super Bowl 50, and the 49ers’ reportedly made a push during NFL league meetings in March to host the championship game again in 2026. The league will make the final decision during spring owners’ meetings in Minneapolis later in May, but it would be a big surprise if San Francisco isn’t named the host city.

The 49ers have been ramping up their activities to secure the Super Bowl 60 game at Levi’s Stadium for the past few months. The organization even made a request for a $120 million loan from NFL in order to make necessary improvements to the stadium.

“If the Bay Area has the opportunity, we would be honored to host Super Bowl LX,” 49ers president Al Guido said in a statement.

Levi’s Stadium already hosted the Super Bowl 50, which saw Denver Broncos get a 24-10 win over the Carolina Panthers. Prior to that, the Bay Area hosted a Super Bowl game at Stanford Stadium in 1985 when the 49ers beat the Miami Dolphins 38–16 to get the second Super Bowl trophy in franchise history.
