Quarterback Aaron Rodgers signed a reworked contract with the New York Jets, a source revealed on Wednesday, in which he agreed to take a $35 million pay cut over the next two seasons.

The two-year, $75 million contract is believed to be fully guaranteed. He was set to make a guaranteed $100 million as per his previous contract.

Rodgers revealed during a post-practice media session on Wednesday that he would be signing a reworked agreement. He did not divulge details, however, instead speaking of his desire to play more than one season for the Jets.

“The team gave up significant pieces for it to be just a one-year deal,” Rodgers explained. “I’m aware of that. … Anything could happen with my body or the success we have this year, but I’m having a blast, so I really don’t see this as a one-year-and-done thing.”
