With the transfer window closed and the start of the Premier League just hours away, British clubs are disclosing their last arrivals before they get out on the field and start racing towards the title. The Premier League club Everton announced that they have signed another player just four hours after the end of the transfer season.

The Toffees reached an agreement with Arsenal, whose star forward Alex Iwobi has inked a contract with Everton. The club was trying to sign the forward for quite some time and initially, they offered Arsenal $36.1 million, but that offer was rejected by the Gunners. The club didn’t waste time and they corrected their offer which was accepted by the other side. Now, the 23-year-old Iwobi will arrive at Goodison Park for a fee of $41 million.

The young forward will be joining the club on a five-year contract lasting until 2024.

Iwobi is a classic Arsenal player as he started his career playing in the club’s youth team. From there, he progressed to the senior team signing his first long-term contract in 2015. During his career in Arsenal, he made 149 appearances and scored 15 goals.
