Chilean international Alexis Sanchez is close to a loan deal with Italian giants Inter Milan. Manchester United and Inter have negotiated a loan deal for the upcoming season, with a buy-out option next season. Sanchez is expected to land in Italy on Wednesday to pass the medical tests, before completing the loan move back to Serie A. Inter has agreed to cover Alexis’s half of the weekly payment that he receives in Manchester, about $550 thousand.

Sanchez has experience playing in Serie A, wearing the Udinese shirt from 2006 until 2011 with two loan moves between those years to Colo-Colo and River Plate. Following the good games in Udinese, Alexis was sold to Barcelona where he won La Liga, the Spanish Cup, the Spanish Super Cup and the UEFA Super Cup. The next season, Sanchez scored 21 goals with 12 assists while retaining the Spanish Super Cup into the following season. After the arrival of Neymar, Sanchez signed for Arsenal on a $31.7 million deal.

Sanchez won the FA Community Shield and 2 FA Cups with Arsenal, scoring a total of 60 goals. After 4 years in Arsenal he was sold to Manchester United where he did not meet the expectations, scoring only 3 goals in 32 matches.
