Los Angeles Angels star outfielder Mike Trout made history over the weekend, hitting his 300th career home run and becoming the Angels’ all-time home run leader in team history.

Trout had a big day on Saturday, going 3-for-3 with a homer, two doubles, four runs, and two RBI. The Angels beat the Houston Astros 10-9.

With his third-inning dinger, Trout passed Tim Salmon, who played his entire career with the Angels in between 1992-2006 and hit 299 home runs in 1,672 games. It only took Trout 1,235 games to hit 300.

However, Trout would probably tell you that he would rather have the World Series ring that Salmon won with the 2002 Angels than the home run record.

Trout is 29-years-old and in his tenth MLB season.

And that’s not the only milestone that Trout reached this weekend. With the 300th homerun, Trout became the fastest player in MLB history to reach both milestones of 300 home runs and 200 stolen bases. It took him 60 fewer games than Hall of Famer Willie Mays, who is second on the list.

Trout stole his 200th base on August 31 and currently has 201 for his career.
