Anthony Davis, one of the NBA´s top players, has had enough of playing in New Orleans, and has requested a trade along with his agent.

Davis, who was the first overall pick in the 2012 NBA draft, has spent his entire career playing for the Pelicans franchise. In his 7 seasons with New Orleans, the 25-year-old power forward has developed into one of the league´s brightest stars.

Unfortunately for New Orleans, Davis has grown tired of not competing for championships with the Pelicans. Despite his best efforts, the team has only made the playoffs twice during his tenure with the team.

New Orleans is currently in the midst of a disappointing season, as they are in 13th place in the Western Conference with a 22-28 record.

Magic Johnson and the Los Angeles Lakers appear to be the primary candidate for Davis´s services. The Lakers have the money and the players to complete what could be one of the biggest trades in the history of the NBA for Davis.

The Lakers, who are aspiring to compete for NBA Championships in the coming years with LeBron James as well as a core of young talent, are expected to eagerly pursue Davis until the NBA´s February 7th trade deadline.

What is clear is that Davis´s time in New Orleans has run out, and now, he will try his luck with another franchise.
