Just a few hours after Antonio Brown was shockingly released by the Oakland Raiders, a day before their game, reigning Super Bowl champions New England Patriots signed the problematic WR on a 1-year contract worth $15 million with a $9 million signing bonus.

The controversial superstar had a lot of problems since he moved from the Steelers to The Bay, first stating that he won’t play unless he uses his old helmet, but the NFL denied his request twice. Just a day after stating that he is excited to work with his new team mates and apologizing for his behaviors, Brown requested a trade from the Raiders on his Instagram profile after the club voided to pay up his guaranteed fee on his contract. Shortly after that, he had an argument with the GM Mike Mayok, who had fined Brown for $215 thousand, releasing him 7 hours after Antonio’s request.

It didn’t take a long time for Antonio Brown to find a new club and that club is the New England Patriots! They are willing to pair Brown with Tom Brady, giving the 42-year-old x6 Super Bowl winner a powerful weapon on the field.

He is expected to sit out the first game against his former team Pittsburgh.
