With hours before the start of the Premier League, British clubs are signing the last players they had in their crosshairs during this summer. One such signing comes from the club Arsenal, who have managed to bring yet another reinforcement, this time from Scotland.

The Gunners reached an agreement with the Scottish club Celtics for their star player Kieran Tierney. The London-based club showed great interest in the 22-year-old Tierney and went so far to bid for him twice, but both of the offers were rejected by his current club.

Now, the two clubs finally reached an agreement that will bring Scottish football a fee that has never been paid so far – a record sum of $30.3 Million. The length of the contract is still unknown but it will be disclosed soon as the clubs don’t have much time to waste. The player is now on his way to London in order to conclude his personal terms with Arsenal before finalizing the agreement and signing a contract.

Even though he’s fairly young, Tierney is a really promising Scottish soccer player – he has been part of Celtics during his whole youth career and also his entire senior career so far.
