Gabriel Jesus spent the past five years with Manchester City, but he’s ready for the change of scenery. The Brazilian striker is set to join Arsenal next season, after striking a blockbuster £45 million transfer deal.

Rumors about Jesus’ potential transfer to one of Man City’s rival teams have been swirling around for quite some time, but he tried to ignore them during the season and focused on leading the team to another Premier League win.

“This is no time to think about this. Now is the best moment of the season. I want to enjoy, to keep focused on my team, with my teammates, to fight for the Premier League. I won it with my teammates three times. I know how that feels, and I want to have that feeling again,” said Jesus earlier this year.

Jesus has been plotting a possible move to the Emirates since the start of June. He was looking forward to reuniting with the coach Mikel Arteta, who would regularly offer individual coaching and advice while serving as assistant coach to Pep Guardiola.

Jesus isn’t the only star player that Arsenal is eyeing for the next season. It’s also been reported that they’re in advanced negotiations with Leeds United for Raphinha’s potential transfer.
