Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang wrote a new history for Arsenal. The Gabon international proved once again that he might be the jackpot signing of Arsene Wenger, and one of his best assessments so far.

The game against Southampton was an ultimate proof for that claim. Aubameyang became the first player in the history of Arsenal who scored 5 goals in his first 6 appearances.

He hit the back of the Saints net once today, thus surpassing the legends of the Gunners like Dennis Bergkamp, Robin van Persie, Thierry Henry, Marc Overmars etc.

But his influence on the court is not only counted in goals scored. He also added one assist, and his involvement was direct, in seven goals in his first seven matches for the club from the north London.

This is also a record-breaking performance of the former Borussia Dortmund striker, who is simply unstoppable at the moment. The fans are convinced that their club would have been much stronger if the striker came at the start of the campaign.

He is the most expensive signing in the history of this club, and Arsenal paid £56 million to the German powerhouse. If he continues to play like this, we might say that Arsene Wenger finally spent his money wisely, unlike several times before Aubameyang’s arrival.
