It’s been a busy summer for the British club Aston Villa as they continue to bring new reinforcements to the team. The club signed their ninth player this summer showing determination to turn a new page in their club history. Their latest acquirement was the Egyptian midfielder Mahmoud Hassan who is more commonly known by his nickname Trezeguet.

The British Premier League club signed the 24-year-old Trezeguet from the Turkish club Kasimpasa for a fee of $10.9 million.

Hassan started his professional career back in 2012, playing for the Egyptian club Al Ahly where he played until 2016. Then, he was acquired by the Belgian club Anderlecht and from there he continued his career in Kasimpasa. He is also part of the Egyptian national team where he has made 40 appearances scoring 6 goals for his country so far.

The manager of Aston Villa, Dean Smith, said that they are really excited to work with Trezeguet and he also added that he has been watching him play a number of times and he was exactly the type of wide player they were looking for.

With this latest acquirement, Aston Villa has spent more than $120 million during this transfer season.
