The Atlanta Falcons’ 2019 season certainly hasn’t gone to plan so far. Before being blown out at home by the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday to drop to 1-6 on the season, news leaked that the team is looking to move one of its key players before the October 27th trade deadline.

Atlanta will look to get something useful from a contending team in exchange for the former #8 overall pick before he becomes an unrestricted free agent at the end of this NFL season.

The Falcons picked up the $12.8 million option on Beasley’s contract before the start of the season in the hopes that he would continue to be a productive member of their defense. He has, however, struggled along with the rest of the team, only having recorded 12 tackles and 1.5 sacks in seven games.

Beasley, who recorded 15.5 sacks and made the 2016 Pro Bowl in a career year, hasn’t been quite the same player ever since his best season. He’s still regarded as one of the most talented edge rushers in the league, however.

Now, it’s time to see if the Falcons are able to move Beasley before the trade deadline next week in order to fulfill their goal of moving on.
