Multiple top European clubs are expected to make a run for Bayern Munich’s talisman Joshua Kimmich. The Spanish media outlet Marca reported on Friday that Barcelona, Liverpool, and Arsenal will all attempt to lure Kimmich away from Germany when the transfer window opens in the summer.

Reportedly, Barca sees Kimmich as a perfect replacement for outgoing Sergio Busquets, while Liverpool and Arsenal believe the German international could help them end Manchester City’s dominance in the Premier League. However, they all face a tough time sealing the deal despite the player’s reported wishes for a new challenge.

Soccer insider Fabrizio Romano reported earlier this week that Bayern doesn’t have any intention of letting Kimmich go. They view him as a key player in their project and will reject any offer that comes their way.

Joshua Kimmich joined the Bundesliga giants in a €7 million transfer from VfB Stuttgart in 2015. Since then, he established himself as one of Bayern’s most important players and is currently serving as the third captain behind Manuel Neuer and Thomas Muller.

During his time in Munich, Kimmich played 345 games in all competitions and scored 40 goals with 94 assists. He helped Bayern win 19 trophies, including seven Bundesliga titles and UEFA Champions League in 2019-20.
