It seems like La Liga giants Barcelona haven’t given up on a reunion with their former star striker Neymar. According to ESPN’s sources, the club will make another move for the Brazilian in the summer of 2020.

Barca tried to bring back Neymar this summer, but their offers fell short. Paris Saint-Germain was reportedly only interested in money, while the Spanish powerhouse was trying to get them to accept player exchange + cash offer.

Mundo Deportivo reports that Barcelona sees Neymar as a successor for Lionel Messi, and want the 27-year-old to be their cornerstone in years to come. However, the media outlet adds that the club will make a definitive decision after seeing how the player will perform with PSG in the second part of the season.

Neymar joined PSG in 2017 from Barca in a transfer worth $247 million. Since then, he made 70 appearances for the club and scored 60 goals, while winning two Ligue 1 trophies. Despite this success, the player is reportedly unhappy in France and would welcome a change of scenery.
