It seems like Barcelona hasn’t given up its attempt to bring back Brazilian superstar Neymar to Spain. Although Paris Saint-Germain rejected the previous two offers from La Liga giants, Barca is preparing a third one that might include talented French forward Ousmane Dembele.

According to ESPN’s sources, Barcelona is seriously considering to offer Dembele plus cash to PSG, hoping this might be enough to finally get the deal done.

Reportedly, Barca’s first offer consisted out of Brazilian attacking midfielder Philippe Coutinho, Croatian midfielder Ivan Rakitic and close to $90 million in cash. The second offer was a loan with an obligatory purchase option at the end of the season, which would be worth more than $211 million.

Neymar left Barcelona for PSG in 2017 in a record-breaking $247 million transfer. His time in France, however, didn’t turn out to be all that great. Although he was productive when on the field, Neymar struggled with injuries for the better part of the last two seasons and ended up playing only 58 games in all competitions for the club.

Discontent with the situation he found himself in, Neymar recently decided to make a transfer request to Paris Saint-Germain and said that he wants to leave the team this summer. PSG reportedly wouldn’t have anything against this scenario, but they are looking to recoup the majority if not all of the money they spent on the 27-year-old forward. If they are not able to do so, they are willing to reintegrate him into the first team, considering he is under contract until 2022.
