USMNT star forward Christian Pulisic might be set for a change of scenery in the summer. Pulisic, who is going through a struggling period with Premier League side Chelsea, is reportedly on the radar of German giants Bayern Munich.

According to Todofichajes, Bayern already reached out to Chelsea about a possible move and are willing to go up to $65 million to bring Pulisic back to Bundesliga. The 22-year-old American would also be in favor of the move as he looks to put his career back on track.

Pulisic established himself as one of soccer’s brightest young talents while playing with Bundesliga powerhouse Borussia Dortmund. This secured him an $80 million transfer to Chelsea and a chance to display his talent in the world’s best league.

Unfortunately for Christian Pulisic, injuries and inconsistency prevented him from being at his best on Stamford Bridge. Since joining Chelsea ahead of the 2019-20 season, Pulisic only played 55 games for the club in all competitions while scoring 13 goals and dishing 11 assists. He has particularly struggled this season, managing only one goal in 15 Premier League appearances.

Despite this, Bayern is willing to bet on Pulisic and believe he could shine again in a league that he is familiar with. They see him as an ideal candidate to replace Kingsley Coman, who is set to depart the club and will continue to make a strong push.

Chelsea, on the other hand, wouldn’t mind making a return on their investment as it became obvious that Pulisic wasn’t playing his best since coming to England. They would probably use the incoming money to fund the summer spending as the new manager Thomas Tuchel looks to rebuild the club’s roster.
