Chicago Bears did a slight roster shuffling on Tuesday, announcing the addition of kicker Cairo Santos and wide receiver Alex Wesley. The team also released wideout Trevor Davis, while placing tight end Darion Clark on injured reserve.

Santos is expected to provide competition for projected starter Eddy Pineiro, who is currently dealing with an injury and hasn’t been practicing this week. There is also a possibility that Bears, considering their struggles with kickers in recent years, keep both men on the roster for 2020 regular season. In this case, one would be on the 53-men roster while the other would remain on the expanded practice squad.

This will be the second stint for Santos in Chicago, as he previously suited up for two games for the Bears in 2017. The 28-year-old player most recently spent time with Tennessee Titans, playing in five games and going nine out of four on field goal attempts. He was perfect on extra points.

Wesley, on the other hand, is yet to make his NFL debut after injuries hampered his rookie season. The 25-year-old previously played college football with Northern Colorado Bears, where he racked up 156 catches for 2,716 yards and 17 touchdowns.
