The Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields picked up a shoulder injury during his side’s 27-24 loss to the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.

Fields injured his non-throwing shoulder when he landed out of bounds after being on the receiving end of a hard tackle during the Bears’ last drive of the game. Although slow to get up, he continued playing until he was hit again in the same area.

The team reported that Fields underwent medical evaluation following the game. They revealed that Fields received both an X-ray and IV treatment in the Bears’ locker room.

“We will have an update on Wednesday,” coach Matt Eberflus stated during the post-match conference. “We don’t know what exactly it is, that’s why we are going to take a look at it.”

This is not Fields’ first issue with his left shoulder. The quarterback was also struggling with a shoulder injury last month, however, he clarified that this issue is different from the one he previously experienced.

Although he was not wearing a sling following his injury, Fields remains unsure as to the extent of the problem and whether or not he will have to miss games.
