Rumors have recently been circulating that the Chicago Bears best wide receiver, Allen Robinson, wants to be traded to another team.

His agent Brandon Parker tried to squash the rumors, stating that Robinson has not requested a trade from the team. However, Parker says that his client is unhappy with his contract and would like to get a long-term deal done with the Bears sooner than later.

Earlier reports claimed that Robinson has felt disrespected by the offers that Chicago has given him thus far.

The rumor of the trade request took off online when a reporter noticed that Robinson had removed all mentions of the Bears from his social media accounts.

Robinson is obviously well-respected on the roster. Two teammates, Tarik Cohen and Anthony Miller, got involved on social media to request a contract extension for the wide receiver.

Robinson is making $14 million annually, which ranks 16th among wide receivers. He is in the final year of a three-year, $42 million contract that he signed while with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2017.

Still only 27 years old, Robinson had a fantastic 2019, finishing seventh in the NFL with 98 catches, amassing 1,147 yards and seven touchdowns despite the Bears’ significant struggles on offense and mediocre quarterback play by starter Mitch Trubisky.
